bro, previously I also had a sprained ankle injury due to futsal. I went for a doctor and psysio. Let me know if you need the contact but the doc is at Subang Jaya. The doctor's contact is inside the link I gave below
But if you don't plan to see a doctor, these are some advices the doc told me:
1. Get an ankle brace and wear it when you are out from home
2. Put ice pack over the injured area 2-3 times a day
3. Unless necessary, avoid walking and standing. Also whenever when you are seating down, if possible lift up your injured leg 180 degree (not to allow your leg to face down)
4. Don't massage the injure area as it will worsen it (as claimed by the doc). I not sure if you can get this cream from the pharmacy but if you can try to get it and apply over the injured ankle 2-3 times daily. The cream is Voltaren Emulgel (20g)
5. When the swelling is less, try to do some ankle exercises to prevent your ankle from becoming stiff
Ankle exercisesHope that helps and get well soon

It's better for you to consult physio or doctor because it might cause you long term injury
I sprained my left ankle not long ago too.. and it takes quite some time to recover.
I strongly recommend the tips given by coolkidz as above, especially on no.4... because ive worsened my injury after massaging it.
I wouldn't recommend no.5 though as my doc told me not to move my ankle too much after 1-2 month recovery.
There are good and average ankle support around. The doc i see recommend me to buy Nike's ankle support and told me to stay off from those cheaper version. Its sold around rm40-50 i guess, and others selling around 20-40

Well I not sure about the ankle exercises. That was what my doc told me

he said if we didn't try to do some light ankle stretching, it will become stiff

but is up individuals so is not a must to follow
PS: the exercises the doc recommend after the swelling healabout the ankle brace, I got mine from the doctor. And later on I bought a pair of ankle guard to wear during futsal sessions (adidas from Al-Ikhsan. as far that I had noticed, Al-Ikhsan carries Nike and Adidas ankle guards and the pricing was roughly in the range of 20 something)
is as how Frostymocha advised, is better to consult a doc/physio. Well the doc I went he said if we have medical insurance is best to check with the insurance company if we can claim for such treatment. So if can claim is better for us to get the better treatment that we can get right ?

for my case, my injury was a grade 2 (doc said there 3 level of ankle injury) therefore I consulted the doc and went for roughly 15 sessions of physio. About the massage, not sure about your injury but for mine was ligament tore. So massage will just worsen it. So can forget about those sinseh urut etc

thanks all,,, pretty good advice.... one think i yearned during these times are proper good advice... you know what the doctor tell me? if i can walk after 3 days, .... than my feet is not broken... WTF !!
i have passed the swollen stage ... but something is still in there that make it unabale to absrob shock... its not nimble and i cant point the toes straight anymore.... i think i need to take it to a more specialest level.... i am sooo going to the Subang Jaya doctor...
regarding ankle gurad.. i bought one from the pharmacy.. .. but i dont think it works anymore....
