why you guys so concern about the number of weights?
sloppy form, bad technique, body looked like anythings but a bodybuilder, but proud of the poundage hoisted? seen alot of these dudes around my local gym... with the same body each and every years, can benched, rows, presses twice what i can lift... but somehow, stay the farking same for the last ten years.... |

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Oct 8 2011, 12:30 PM) Because poundages DO mattter. You ain gonna get big if you're not gonna add weights. Imo weights lifted take a very close second to form. You can have perfect form, but with too light a weight its still not gonna matter, too. i do mentioned crappy form right? lifting big with half reps half motions aint gonna do d!ck to your progress, believe me, i been there... benching half way and expect your pecs to grow brah?yes, i agreed with the weight lifted are pretty important too, but it should falls on number three, form and mind muscles connection are both 1 and 2... QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Oct 8 2011, 01:40 PM) hmm how can u tell whether they are happy or not at their current state. I don't know their form or wat poundages they r lifting but i believe some ppl are happy at their current size and probably are just lifting for fun or just maintaining. Or it could be their diet tats ruining the whole process. wat i dont know is how deep is your understanding in bodybuilding... if going to gym for ten years but learn nothing about your body is just epic fail.... QUOTE(Aztec @ Oct 8 2011, 01:48 PM) "its not how much u can lift, but how u look in the mirror that matters" applies here "its not how much you can lift, its how much you looked you can lift" - Bob CicherilloPerforming exercises with a weight that doesn’t allow you to sustain proper form throughout the exercise, can increase the risk of injury. It also won’t help you develop those huge muscles that you were aiming for in the first place. This is because using improper form forces your body to use other muscles to complete the exercise. |

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Oct 8 2011, 07:14 PM) dude, end of they day we're just saying the same thing haha. we both agree crappy form isnt gonna do shit, and poundages matter. i dont see whats the argument is about. and imo is your form is decent you're gonna hit your targeted muscles, mind muscle connection is just something you acquire with experience. dont expect a newbie to understand all that probably i was using the wrong word to describe it, ma bad... |

QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 20 2011, 07:20 PM) I've been training as hard as I could for the past six months, and I'm still like 40lbs off BW bench. That's why I'm so eager to see that video. Average Joes like us can definitely pick up a thing or two. even with all the years of training, im only able to lift/press 1.4 times my own bodyweights with damn near perfect form.... able to lift it is another thing, executing and feeling it is totaly at the realm of the other universe... im not under estimating his ability, but curiosity could really take over when yourself are struggling while other "people" claimed he could do twice the poundages with half the bodymass... (which reminds me of the "steriod in whey and 2x bodyweight squat with no upperbody training dude)QUOTE(darklight79 @ Oct 20 2011, 11:01 PM) wowhohohohoho, you shouldn't have said tat... now we all demanding no less than a Blue-Ray rip quality video... |
