Oh hello guys. I feel kind of lucky I stumbled on this thread--->Proceeds to register on LYN right away LOL
I'm registering next week for my first year as a Chemical Engineering student \0/
I received an email from Perintis Kenchana on Thursday evening notifying me that they have allocated a room for me but required me to respond within 3 days (Thursday,Friday and Saturday) so that the room could be secured. I scrambled to get the payment done the next day and obviously Friday was a public holiday so the banks were closed and I tried to reach them but no one answered. Anyway I went to CIMB KLIA which was open so I did an interbank giro transfer and emailed them the slip and form. From the general sentiment towards them here I'm expecting some sort of fcuk up to happen when I check in on Monday. So let's just see how that goes. I got the RM465 a month room btw. SMH @ you PK.
Real question I have for you guys is on PTPTN loan. My application is still being processed as of 5 minutes ago (ugh) so I have no clue as to how much I am getting from it. Does UNMC allow you to register without showing the good stuff? The closing date of PTPTN application submission for UNMC is October 15th iirc.
So let's say I get a couple of thousands in my Bank Islam account, will the balance be automatically deducted and I have to top up the rest of the fees with some other source of $ to UNMC, or should I just deposit some $ to fatten up my balance and get Bank Islam to issue me a draft?
Thanks. I'm really excited and sort of miserable.

QUOTE(jun6065168 @ Sep 21 2011, 08:44 PM) I dun understand about the undertaking letter =.= Do u guys have it alr? Or do we need to get it ourselves? Gonna sign up for it soon =) I don't have it so I guess we need to get it ourselves; iirc it's a sort of an agreement that you'll sign with regards to hall rules and regulations and you need to get the signature of your hall tutor. That's what I can remember from the accomodation induction. --------Update! The letter will be at your door, they just slotted it under my door lol. Lol I don't even remember the committee for the hall I'm staying at, think I'm going to email someone. Everything went too fast yesterday. Kay getting ready for the ORIS tour. IS stuff to check out when I get back *pening* This post has been edited by Le Fluff: Sep 22 2011, 09:19 AM

Oh um I thought I was clear but my time table is confusing. I have 3 different practicals almost everyday uunder the same time slot.
So let's say you have Fluid Mechanics earlier during the day, then you should go to Fluid Mechanics practical right? Also there isn't a location stated so I don't know
I think I'll ask some of the squad near me. Otherwise I'll just go to my department.
Dr Svenja said the system/software is new so my bet is no one really knows a lot. eeek

In other news I have been shut out of the bathroom by my neighbour. To be fair I sort of did the same earlier when I forgot to unlock the door.
His lights seems to be turned and I tried knocking. We need to sort this out.
Good chance to actually force myself to meet him and get to know each other anyway.

Lol thanks for the tip btw I went to the faculty office and there still isn't any fabulous lab-group or tutor-tutee list for Chemical Engineering. Lady at the office said it should be there by next week.

QUOTE(Blackberries @ Sep 23 2011, 02:49 PM) I can't seem to login into my mail. It says forbidden access. Why is that so? 403? Try logging in at email.nottingham.edu.my, not the owa site. Added on September 23, 2011, 2:54 pmQUOTE(weijin91 @ Sep 23 2011, 09:17 AM) in the event you should ever get locked out again, take a 10 cent coin, put it at the door knob's gap, and twist hardly clockwise or anticlockwise. u can unlock the toilet door without going to him then. justĀ tell him that you both wont lock the latch Okay I just tried to but the gap is worn out so you can't really get it to turn. Wahhh can I get the knob replaced or something? Lol I'm pretty sure this will happen again. This post has been edited by Le Fluff: Sep 23 2011, 02:55 PM

Also any one of you freshies tried the portal yet? I still can't login with my username. Granted it takes time but I won't be back till Sunday ahhhhhhh
Night. This is all better than sleeping pills.

You guys, thoughts on going for exchange during the 3rd year? My 3rd year would involve projects like plant design, from what I've heard from my tutor, grades take a hit abroad, and to proceed with my MEng requires >55% average during your second year, else gg. I've seen forms for 2+2 transfers nevertheless but a 1 year exchange would be good enough for me, but I don't know how that will impact my final year project. My tutor snubbed me this week, just wanted to ask before this slips my mind. Some of my coursemates submitted their applications already. Hope any engineering seniors can help. Cheers.
