For E&E engineering, do I need to get a reliable laptop to install any engineering programs/ softwares ? And is there any industrial training for E&E engineering ( MEng ) ? Thanks.

Unless you are very homie, else you'll be better off using the programme on university's PC. Much less hassle dealing with cracks for those software. But if you really are that homie, you don't need a powerful laptop. If you know the simulation will run one day, you will use uni's PC instead, isn't it, unless you think putting your laptop in constant 100% workload for full one day is a small matter.

There MUST be industrial training for MEng. It's a must for all MEng (all courses, all UK uni that offer MEng). What do you want to ask?

When is the industrial training and how long is it? Do we have to search for the companies or the university will give us a list of companies that we can apply for the internship ?

I have mailed my reference letter to nottingham about 3 weeks ago. How do I know whether they have received it ? I emailed to the admission department a week ago but they haven't reply me . I've got my accept/decline form and one of the conditions is subject to receipt of a satisfactory academic reference. Does it mean they haven't receive it ? Should I ask my lecturer to write another one ?

If I paid the deposit for the accommodation for on-campus, will I be able to get it back fully (before I stay there) when I suddenly decided not to stay there anymore?

the reason for the deposit is to keep you from leaving. soo, no??

But if I didn't move into the room at all before the registration (before the semester starts in sept) because I decided to study at another uni, will I be able to get back whatever I pay for the accommodation ? (2 months deposit + 1 month rental + damage & key deposit)
