QUOTE(tanjinjack @ Jun 28 2011, 09:44 PM) I am thinking if you can come up with a shortened version of your review? It is really looooooooooong and I doubt if any prospective students will really read it all. More of a summary la.. No issue though if you don't find doing it. Ah, I will try shortening it then. I've been receiving messages from prospective students that read the review though, asking for further information. Will give a shorter one in a few days |

QUOTE(manthew @ Aug 18 2011, 11:25 PM) Funnily though.. they were like 15 people in Economics class last year.. so top 10%.. I presume 2 person? Hahahas why did they discontinue the annual High Achiever Scholarships (now it's only first year and the minimal requirement has increased).. D=< they are really reluctant to give out money, aren't they? Blood suckersss It only pertains the new intakes, previous intakes maintain the same scheme....Did you know.. the minimum requirement here for Pharmacy is the same as the minimum requirement for Pharmacy there in the UK Nott? (AAB) =) Sorry to say, but there's no back door for you. Nottingham doesn't take it from the back This post has been edited by Cottoncandyclouds: Aug 20 2011, 07:44 PM |

There are alot of foundie students lol, so not quite deserted.
6 papers in a week. with no break in between 2 semesters. I'm going to go insane D:! I hope I can maintain my previous semester results......I'm lemming for the Tinggi Scholarship....no word on when its going to open and its prerequisites. Apparently our intake has a choice of transferring to economics when our sophomore year starts!!! |

Lol I meant that we only has one day after our last exam in sem 1 before our sem 2 commenced D:
Played truant anyway, went for snorkelling lol. And some lecturers have really keen eyes; they actually noticed I was absent and questioned Added on August 22, 2011, 1:17 pmIts not really silent actually. Alot of pretty foundie students, especially the gals! All dressed up for the camera. I bet after a year they gonna get lazy and start sleeping in This post has been edited by Cottoncandyclouds: Aug 22 2011, 01:17 PM |

The library however shuts at 7, even during exams. We've been allocated a study room, but the foundie students are always abusing the projector and computer there....
But I don't have to wait for food at the canteen. That is luxury 711 is coming to our uni! |

I think it'd strike some exchange students a tad odd since they usually distribute free condoms at UK campuses. Even Monash in Malaysia does it!

Apparently a meal there is at least Rm10. Added on August 22, 2011, 1:49 pmCrap, tinggi scholarship is only open to 1st year students. Previously it wasn't limited to only new entrants.... This post has been edited by Cottoncandyclouds: Aug 22 2011, 01:49 PM |

I'm really looking forward to the pub buahahhahaa. Sad to say it will never materialise XD
My friends from the econs school, they actually resort to buying a few six packs from Tesco and lug them to uni. |

QUOTE(holypredator @ Sep 14 2011, 11:02 PM) hey guys.... the application latter says i have to have 2 reference... You really need the references. You can request your previous teacher to write one for you electronically, with signature or stamp and have it sent to you. Print it out and hand it in!is that REALY neccesary??? and i assume the referee to be the previous uni lecturer or high ranking staff since at the end it requires offcial stamp by the uni.... so im asking if its mendatory .... cause lets say if i studied @ australia ..... how the hell am i gonna get reference?? i have to fly all the way back to australia to get it?? Since its a printed copy, make sure to include your teacher's contact number and email address if further verification is needed. And yes unfortunately its mandatory. |

QUOTE(tanjinjack @ Sep 14 2011, 11:24 PM) You know email? Since it must be sealed (where you cannot read it), get an email address from the admission office so that you referee can send it direct to that address, without going through you. Mine wasn't sealed, neither was my ex's O_OThat's considered a workaround I think. Not necessary high rank staff, but people that really know you. QUOTE(holypredator @ Sep 15 2011, 01:40 AM) oh jesus.... i think i should go taylors or monash uni... save me all the troubles..... Monash requires personal statements and references as well....its a standard procedure in most unis. In fact at unis where placements are extremely competitive, your personal statement and your references can make or break you. Thats the thing that baffles me.... we are paying them as clients ....not for free nor working for them ..... yet they are bothered with all these stuff..... No offence but.... quiting the uni half way doesn't mean anything and they still get paid for the time you've been with them ..... it doesn't tarnish any of their reputation since student that left isn't exactly attached to the uni to be judged... you can't just stop someone that realize they suddenly had interest to pursue in other fields..
