Application won't be too fast as far as I see nowadays. Wait for 3 weeks like that then only make a phone call to ask about the status.

Have it past 10 working days then? If no, just wait. If yes, phone again ask them why 10 working days still haven't settled. Be polite. You don't want your application got rejected just because of your poor intonation.

I got the confirmation email for my seat. Paid the acceptance fee and sent back the accept/decline form back today. Have to wait for 3 days till I get the letter. It is a foreign institution but Malaysians work there so you have to accept that there is so called Malaysain attitude. I have called Nottingham a few times and most of the people that answer the phone are really not helpful at all. They keep saying that everything is on the website. Going in for July course for Foundation in Engineering.

I sent in my application on 8 May and got a reply on 18 May. Yes I have applied for accommodation and they said they will only start confirming in June. Try to call them and ask about you application if it's been more then 10 working days.

They said it will take 3 days after u have done that to get ur confirmation letter. Looks like it. Came to know that there are 180 applicants for Foundation in Engineering. If only the Malaysians working at Notts would think more professionally I'm sure the services will be way better.

That's what the lady said but I'm sure the number is increasing.

If it's 180 applicants for just foundation, what's the numbers for all courses across the uni? It should really take some time to process. Admission team is not huge (they only need to be huge during major intake, not all-year round), and they have their own jobs on their hands too, they don't just work to review your applications. Every application is unique, and is bound to have problems, with some of them must go through their leader to decide - who's someone busier than them and have less time to entertain these applications. Some of them are actually reviewed by lecturers instead of just admission team, who are also someone busy with their jobs.

It's not about inefficiency, it's the system. That being said, it's not some money-sucking application where you can get an offer on the spot of applying. Look beyond, there's quality embedded in the application reviewing. (Oh man, so greasy the talk!)

I'm going for Foundation in Engineering, July intake. Who else? Am excited but at the same time nervous as well as days passed. lol

engineering ahh...

almost no life in year 3

I am planning for admission in July 2012 intake for Foundation- engineering course, My queries to esteem members of this forum are:

1. What is the normal percentage of foreign students in the university?
2. How the course allotment is decided after foundation engineering, staudent decide or university based on results of foundtaion engineering.
3. What are normal timing for classes for foundation course?
4. Is it manageble to travel from KL-central to university everyday or recommended to go far campus accomodation?
5.How many seats are there in foundation engineering?
6. After Edecel "o" level , can we go for 2-semester foundation course or 3-semester is must.

Hmmm. This one have to ask the uni that u want to go to whether they want to accept your foundation in UNMC. I think if u do really well in foundation shouldn't really be a problem. Still, it's up to the uni that u intend to go

used to be 2 rooms, then 1 room i thk the astro card kena stolen or wat, now left 1 room...so now more ppl fight for it
