imho 265 is normal for private hospital, 280 is the average. my wife and i did checkups at prince court medical, around 340 per visit. but since the doc is so unfriendly, better go somewhere else. no point paying so much also but did not receive equivalent input.

340 is normal for prince court, but 265 is expensive even for a private hospital.. pusrawi in kota damansara (different management with pusrawi tun razak) charges rm70 on average for maternity visits (including scans).. basically you can get a much more reasonable price, for the same level of care (if not better)..

Of coz.. don't expect excellent service like those big hospitals..but I'm alright with them. Even went there for my son's jabs..

when i was going there..i usually like Dr Mani as he's the talkative one..Dr Sarmukh...kinda quiet..but you also got to ask lots of things..then they will answer your questions.

We are new to this "baby" thingy. so we dont really know what to ask, but prefer to listen the advices from the professional

Places like KPJ, Gleneagles, tawakal, SJMC..please expect around that region. Unless you go to small maternity hospitals..then it will be lesser than RM100.

My experience sending my wife to Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital... and all my three kids birth at the hospital and the charges for pregnancy checkup below RM100... normally I've to pay around rm75 (consultation & scanning) and the total with meds ranges RM100 - RM150. Oh, he's not speak mandrin... happy.gif

For normal delivery charges at the hospital (3 days & 2 night):
4 bedded - RM2150 (if not mistaken)
2 bedded - RM2450 (if not mistaken)
1 bedded - RM2650 (this the normal package I took)

but upon discharge the charges I need to pay is less than RM3k.

To my knowledge..doc would advise dos and don't when there's problem (ie spotting, cramps). if it looks normal and you never complained anything..then they don't say much unless you have questions.

In fact, there's not much dos and don't in the medical sense (if pregnancy is ok)..it's only our cultural beliefs that has the dos and don't

after read your reply, now i have a question here, actually what are the differences if i visit a doctor who costs me rm50 and rm 200? if both are them are just quiet and say nothing? it is really a dilema to go for expensive or cheaper doctor rclxub.gif

I believe in seeing a doctor that you are most comfortable with. Identify where you want to deliver..and see if you are comfortable with the doctor there.

Of coz budget also plays a part too..but if you are ok with any cost..then your only problem would be finding the right doctor.

when i went for first time check up with Dr Guna (Damansara specialist hospital), i was 2-3 weeks pregnant. Cannot see the sac yet.

He told me to wait for another month for check up. Don't talk about those can do or cannot do first. Confirm whether its pregnancy first and pray hard baby is ok. cuz first 12 weeks is very unstable. Take my folic acid.

while my GP advise, don't simply eat medicine. Best if don't take any medicine to prevent harming the baby.
