Hi all, i need some advice here regarding F4(MY variant).
1) Do we need to memorise all the sections numbers/ article number in an act or law to answer for exam? 2) How about the law name itself? As in Employment Law 1955, Contract Act 1950 etc. The reason i am asking this is because my lecturer keep stressing us to memorise the sections numbers to provide it during your answer's explanation. But i just realised from one of my friend who passed F4 last sem that he didn't quote any section numbers in his answer and that the numbers is not so important as stressed by my lecturer. thanks in advance |

QUOTE(starz92 @ Sep 13 2011, 09:57 PM) Hi all, i need some advice here regarding F4(MY variant). Memorizing sections might get you additional marks. The good thing about F4 is that the questions are repeated multiple times (not sure of the current trend), so you will be able to note certain sections that are actually tested quite often, memorize those Acts and sections.1) Do we need to memorise all the sections numbers/ article number in an act or law to answer for exam? 2) How about the law name itself? QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Sep 14 2011, 03:14 PM) As i heard, OBU degree is not recognised by our MQA. Only a few employer recognise OBU as a degree.I heard from earnst and young that they would hire a student with OBU only on the condition they have to continue to finish their acca. So,OBU by itself is pretty much useless if you completed your ACCA. However, if you failed to complete your ACCA, then maybe with a OBU degree it might be useful( at least you have a degree). QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Sep 14 2011, 03:14 PM) It is possible. However you would have to compensate the low grade degree with substantial involvement in co-curricular activities.I believe big firms want an all rounded person, you would have to explain about your 3rd class degree if given the chance for an interview. Maybe you just broke off a 10 year relationship (not preferable However, if you are an ACCA straight passer but with marks within the 50% region all the time, then that's another story to tell. |

Only a few employer recognise OBU as a degree. you have to at least understand those theories and the logic of it so that it is easier for you to write it out during exam. it is impossible that you can memorise the whole syllabus and write it out during exam. somemore few questions are case study, you need to apply it into the case too.
