i also spent too much time on Q1 but i think not comprehensive enough. also not enough time to finish everything, at least i tried to answer all.

should not have chosen to answer Q3 as it has 3 parts, waste my time reading again and again. Q4 should be much easier. overall i think enough to pass

worst part...q1 i write for 1/2 page++ i cancel and write on 2nd page
time wasted
then i had to jump to procedures...
I oso duno wad procedures to verify classification of lease other than one

then i choose Q4 n 5

Q5 sub questions 3 marks each I leave blank

Not fast man..Assuming I pass these papers and continue taking 2 p papers per sem..Without failing I could only graduate at 23..Whereas those who started out same year with me had already graduated last sem

When I took this course I was thinking I would finish faster than my degree friends but turns out most of them has graduated this sem.

Anyway no other choice but to push forward! Good luck all!

no doubt the accounting standards are quite easy. that Q5 IAS 38 worths 12 marks, which can be said is a gift

for the past 3 years, i only pass 1 paper per sem due to i am working. there's nothing for you all to complain

Supposedly an invoice were issued to you for traveling expenses in Jan'11.
The supplier was paid in Feb'11.

What is the transactions like ?

Is this correct :

Dr Supplier
Cr Bank

the supplier account may be trade payables or other payables depends on the nature of the transaction, you have to be clear on that

Let us assume that the supplier is an other payable supplier.
Is the accounting treatment correct?

Yea I understand la..but seeing as to how CAT and ACCA were promoted as a 3 year course, I just feel bad for not completing it within 3 years..

3-4 P papers? Actually I failed once in cat..from that point on I never felt confident in my studies already so I take less papers per sem..ended up I become damn slow (took 1 year to do f4,5,6).. then I realize it was silly of me to lose confidence.. so now trying to pick up speed so I'm taking 4 papers (f7-p1)

You working mah..Your progress is understandable..I'm full time student

i would advise u dun try to attempt 3 F + 1 P papers at once

3 papers are still manageable

unless u're cream of the crop

this is not about the ability for u to study

but the scope of learning and content of those papers are very wide

We'll see if i can make it or not in February..seems possible though..I see classmates taking 4 p level papers at once also

Was asked about that during my interview session with WHO yesterday.
Was having a slight nervous attack, so weren't sure whether the answer was correct, LOL

those taking 4 papers is either
i) really confident and well prepared
ii) they failed one of the paper previously then taking it together with the 3 paper in this sitting.(they are probably just taking a high risk gamble)
