DCIM 's a worthwhile visit! smile.gif. Complete with photo galleries, talks, shows n gear.

No Sony Booth, so I took this pretty Nikon gal instead.

Was very challenging trying to keep up with the Velocity Angels on the runway. Pics with the kit lens later.. once i sort them out. I had to shoot through and above many dlsrs with flash units as tall as kltower. Still best if you get the side front spot earlier. Even the side spot near the back of the stage is good as the gals will pose there as well.

R U Sure?? to recommend this course for the general NEX population?? Ori photoshop CS5 is more than Rm2000 per license, probably this course applies to people or companies who has income from their photography or digital imaging works. Myself using GIMP.

I would think the general NEX population would have *ahem ahem* CS5.

Actually, I guess the general population of Malaysia uses *ahem* CS5.

Straight from camera, when you view the exif info the "Software" field will show something like "NEX-5 Ver.04". (exif can be viewed by using irfanview + plugin)

After editing and saving using Photoshop, it will automatically change your exif data so that the "Software" field now shows "Adobe Photoshop CSx Windows". Users happily upload this photo to different different websites.

To give you a worse case scenario...
Adobe 1 day decides to write a web crawler program to search and read exif data of images posted on the web ( no different from a legal search engine). With the image name, data and website information, it can possibly now tell who has edited those pictures using it's software... and... sweat.gif

Thankfully, I see that facebook wipes out all exif data, and renames the file of the pictures posted there. Whether they keep the ori uploaded pic, i am not sure.

what i did on friday after work..

This historical Sultan Abdul Samad Building is now lighted up at night with different colors. Like the putrajaya bridge. It goes purple , then blue, maybe green, gold, yellow, maybe red and cycle again..
The building was purple at the moment of this shot.

Sigma to release Digital Neo (DN) line for NEX, which will first include the 30mm F2.8 EX DN and the 19mm F2.8 EX DN. The 19mm will be 28.5mm equivalent on the Nex, 30mm equivalent to 45mm .

Ahh... have just registered for the Basic Alpha DSLT & NEX Video Shooting for next month.

Would be interesting to learn how different it is compared to the still shots and wanna ask how to reduce cam shake when walking while filming.

From http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/category/rumors/

(SR4) Three new NEX cameras coming within the next eight months.
The past weeks months Sony changed the product for 2012. So it hasn’t been easy to get reliable info about their camera and lens release. Finally I got a more reliable overview of Sony’s strategy. There will be three new NEX cameras within the next 8 months. Sony will announce the first camera in April, another camera in Summer and another one at Photokina.

For me.. i want a new firmware for NEX-5 with..!!
1. Auto distortion correction , in camera.
2. High speed video capture.. 400 FPS with resolution of 800X600.
3. In manual focus peaking, when the Max number of red dots are achieved (after 1 pass and back), beep beep beep so that i stop fiddling with the focus and I can hit the shutter.

Someone needs to make a new thread for this, post count way beyond what it is permissible to be.

Any news on the local launch of Sony NEX-7? IF there aren't any or if it's that Studio Zaloon February 17th release date is the local launch date, I'm getting mine from Taipei end of this month, stopover trip enroute to Los Angeles. NT39,980.
