To those curious about the new HVL-F20S flash, someone over at dpreview.com bought a piece on eBay and released a short review. It's looking great!

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat...46&changemode=1

Scroll down a little and you can see his sample pictures comparing no flash, stock flash, and then the HVL-F20S.

http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Unused-Sony-Alpha-...7d#ht_500wt_922
Link to Ebay account selling the flash online. About RM500 with shipping from Hong Kong.

Yeah, very disappointed in that. Had to go on eBay and purchase my own rear caps and body caps. Lucky it's cheap... about RM10 per piece.

both are compact-ish, similar but yet different in many ways. hard to say which is better, more to own preference.
for me i own a Nex 3, great but i wish to have the micro 4/3 many2 lenses and accesories . limited lenses & accesories for now but still good enuf for me  rclxms.gif
and another thing, no remote shutter (non ir/wireless) for nex to play bulb long shutter mode  sad.gif

try look at here (http://snapsort.com/compare/Panasonic-GF3-vs-Sony_Alpha_NEX-5)
very good site, compare by specs and not biased  nod.gif

NEX5 can use with IR Remote, but not NEX3.
Can use with the china make IR remote which is cheaper and simpler than the ori Sony alpha remote.

NEX can be used with most of the lenses by attached to adapter. Pls read through the threads u will see many users using diff lenses!!

erm, with the sel16f2.8 i just set small aperture and snap. should get enuf dof for entire pic and f/5.6 and smaller is quite sharp already. nod.gif
with the sal35f/1.8 or manual lenses needs practice, patience and prefer subject that doesn't move much biggrin.gif

also plan/expect what u want to shoot first, like for instance i went to the stadium i know i wont be taking pics of the players (no long2 tele/prime). So that would help u to know what lens to use , which is suitable and wont waste time changing lens (bagi masuk habuk saja =X ). actually i came in quite late, so dont have proper seats (stand at the corridor only cry.gif ) ,also my view of the game is in the pic #2, half blocked by the banner sweat.gif , so look around for something to snap. nod.gif

true, but still the bulb mode without a remote shutter is sorry to say quite useless sad.gif
yup many2 adapter to many2 mount lenses biggrin.gif (would love to try the canon L and leica/voigtlander on my nex whistling.gif ) but what i meant is E mount lenses. Still for now only have 3 plus few coming, hoping for 3rd party makers to cepat2 make rclxms.gif

what screen protectors are you all using for your Nex cameras?

I dont really like those stick-on film kind but i found this GGS thing which has a layer of glass but its still stick-on
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...0#entry38033329

or just get the Sony's clip-on protector? Anyone bought these? Usually plastic not too clear and after awhile you'll get scratches on it which blurs the screen somewhat

or get Sony stick-on one - http://www.sony.com.my/product/pck-ls1em

NEX-C3 doesn't support IR remote so kinda hard to do bulb mode is it?

Or should I just get NEX-5. Anyone tried doing timelapse photos?

Ohh this thing looks cool

http://www.dslrbot.com/products-page/iphon...utton-air-mail/

maybe I should get NEX-5 instead of C3

Only place I have seen this is on eBay... about RM50 I think? Thought of ordering one myself. Check out the eBay posting here...
