QUOTE(eaglehelang @ Oct 8 2011, 02:51 PM) Btw, any of you all have ever tried prepaid broadband on handphone? Can work? I heard can use, just cannot make call. I tried before but with maxis it says cannot online. from my experience it wont work with data only card. It needs the one with voice call.Added on October 8, 2011, 4:01 pm ![]() Nokia N9 @ Yellow Flower by thenokiagallery, on Flickr This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Oct 8 2011, 04:01 PM |

Is it true the battery is non removable?
Today I tested N9 at Nokia center 1Utama.. The shop assistant doesnt know much about the product though, not very helpful.. Problems stopping me from buying N9 so far : 1) Lack of Flash support, 3G video call, LED notification (remember the useful blue-orange-white colored LED on N900?) That why the screen is AMOLED it display notification on the screen itself. Nokia N900 was not AMOLED .Heard from nokia next update will support video call. 2) Non-removable battery? Reminds anyone of iphone? That is the reason why the body is a single polycarbonate 3) Cant find xterminal when I was trying out the phone.. did you guys find it somewhere? Need to activate developer mode 4) Great UI, very smooth, I was impressed that I can partially swipe the screen and the game still moves on in the half-screen even with outdated hardware, but I cant find any solid reviews on the phone's performance yet, so no idea on real-world usage vs showroom or roadshow usage 5) No WHATSAPP!!! Same issue to all OS. Cant expect the instant launch of the OS you get all the apps in the entire world compatible immediately 6) No idea whats the battery life, but so far I've read comments about battery meter % problems in this thread.. is it persistent? For me full charge morning till now still got 35% was connected to wifi all day. I ended up buying I-9100G White from the Digi roadshow in 1U instead of N9.. lol my 2nd SGS2 this year Anyway the Digi roadshow got X7, got Iphone, but nobody knows anything about N9.. so sad.. 2 out of the 7 of my friend already got the Nokia N9 from digi they have stock they are carrying the black 16GB Nokia N9 7 of my friends real life already bought Nokia N9. Different people you meet they have different needs. I'll wait for you guys to give more reviews on the phone, and for Nokia to release more updates, and see if its worth getting N9 as a 2nd phone / GPS phone.. I was using 5800XM for GPS but it recently died after serving me faithfully for 2 years plus Sifu leo will prepare an android SGSII vs N9 comparison do check out his videos Like many said nokia N9 is not suitable for everyone. Just select how often you want it to update. Peak time interval means how often do you want it to update. If you have unlimited data and likes get update u can set 10mins.

QUOTE(Jo@NJS @ Oct 9 2011, 03:21 PM) Is compulsory to register an account with nokia (inside phone)? Where u need to put in contact number, email, agree to their terms when they sms u, etc? its recommend to register one to have privilege and access to all nokia servicesSorry for the Newb question, didn't have much time playing with it. Thank. If you choose to cut the sim card please make sure you are using the new type the size is different. If yours is the older type when cutting might damage the card. Just check the micro sim card u cut make sure there no damage on the chip. New registration is free micro sim If change its RM20 This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Oct 9 2011, 06:42 PM |

Another sample shot.
![]() Nokia N9 @ Yellow flower and bee by thenokiagallery, on Flickr Added on October 9, 2011, 7:27 pmIt depends on the sim. If you have the newer card should be alright . The sales person shown us the difference old and new . Older type cant cut will damage it. This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Oct 9 2011, 07:27 PM |

It depends on the charger output . If my memory serves me right usb charging thru computer is 500mA. A Nokia Fast USB Charger AC-16 will charge at a higher mA. The higher the mA the faster it completes the charge.

Something like that. Like the earphone. I tried using my Galaxy Tab earphone on the Nokia N9 it doesnt work. It can fit very well but the phone cant detect it.

Just want to ask N9 user, right now i dont think i'll be looking at how many 3rd party apps in the market and all that.
Honestly the apps in nokia store and 3rd party are very limited due to the OS is new. But i'm looking at: Does the web browsing is smooth enough? how bout the web page zooming? Is it good? Smooth posting this from my Nokia N9 Does the support for exhange and normal email is good? and lastly, does the os itself is stable? I am using normal email already set up 6.You can set to retrieve interval or use push depending whether its supported or not - I tried to go test the N9 in berjaya and ikea, both N9 out of juice. or i dont know how to start it. haha. right now i'm looking for a phone that is fast/responsive enough to do all those task and i'm trying to steer away from apple. not sure if N9 is for me or not. Its very fluid and responsive. iOS in the other hand is not true multi tasking like the Nokia N9. This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Oct 10 2011, 02:43 PM |
