MY switches are awful
I can give it to you if you want it, without keycaps thought, just taking up storage space.
Anyway, what big purchase did you make, wallet crying?

Anyone wants to kongsi shipping for this?

actually adding few more $$ to the RM48, u can get some nice PBT caps from KBC already.

btw, here's a short review on the noppoo choc pro 2 i got today:

the box, just like my choc mini, they're teasing other keyboards. lol

what's inside: simple, low profile packing.

the front view, POM key caps and the same printing method like choc mini.
Feels pretty good to type on. Too bad i didnt bring my choc mini along with me, cant show the comparison yet.
There's a dot on the L caps, i wonder why? Not sure if it's for the recognition of J and L.

The Choc Pro logo. This time, they uses CHOC PRO instead of Noppoo. I wonder why?
LED, well it's blue but kinda bright, blinding light just like the 7G i have :S

The back view of the keyboard, 4 rubber feet. stay well on my desk, didn't slip. great.
And look, screws finally. lol
You won't see them on Choc Mini for sure.

Here's the KRO testing result. NKRO under USB just like Choc Mini smile.gif

Summary:
The build quality for Choc Pro 2 is pretty satisfying. The key caps, key printing, rubber feet (and they're using costar stabilizer) are good.
Weight, as usual. 1 KG above, feels safe. tongue.gif
Lighter force required to press down the keys, fun to type on but you need to bottom down the keys for it to register. sad.gif
Perform well for FPS, tried on MOH, COD, CS. Not sure if it's because I always bottom down the keys during my gaming session.
NKRO under USB, enjoy playing street fighters, king of fighters etc without any problem with keyboard ghosting.
LED... too bright for me. No harm i guess because nobody would stare at the LED for 37495 hours.
Not recommended for linear switch users. I'll take some time to get used to the feel tongue.gif

i loled at the box writing about steelseries, razer, filco and realforce. LMAO  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

btw nice review. the keyboard is gooding man. POM keycap hmmmmmmm, makes me feels like getting it.
*
u can taobao for it, this 1 is cheaper than the other because of the switch. lol
not bad actually, when i 1st removed the caps i was like oh will i regret of getting this? but then, no. xD
pretty worthed, different feel. I still like linear switch more btw

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Sep 29 2011, 03:10 PM)
@lucidlts,

the nub on the L key is probably a bad QC by Noppoo.
L key shares the same row as the numpad 5 key, so that key was probably meant for the numpad 5 but it got mistakenly made as the L key
*
LOL i see, wont affect my typing anyway. but look at the bright side, when i put my hand on that section i can feel that "oh ok, so this is J and this is L".

Noticed the "nub" wasnt on my PLU keyboards. They replaced it with the bump (or what ever you call it) like the one on J and F.

well, me too, i prefer linear switch more, if wanted to compare with other kind of switch, feels easier to type without resistant and double tapping is convenient.

For the keyboard, i think it's very easy to customize/mod, even the logo itself, which is easy to remove with just sand paper, and you might be able to engrave your name with CNC Mill lolololol.

how am i suppose to get a milling machine? LOL

Unfortunately, it is not capacitive.
It is more like how your remote control key actuation. I think once or twice you have opened up a remote control before.

@lucidlts,
Can you try to test, whether it takes the key to travel all the way down to actuate, or whether it can actuate halfway through.
That should prove whether it is capacitive or not

@bai,
Those diodes are used to achieve NKRO.
Even for rubber domes, if you have the means to put diodes for each switch, you can achieve NKRO

http://www.dribin.org/dave/keyboard/one_html/
This site has a very nice guide on how keyboards work.
*
hmm, not capacitive then. i need to bottom down the keys to actuate. :S
