As of late, there seem to be some network issues with DiGi and Maxis. I use both lines and both of them are giving me calls, sms and data issues everyday. WTH?

Well guys.. i just did some further experiment and it's does really proves that my phone won't be able to receive / outgoing call in certain area although there are signal coverage.

I stay in ipoh and work at simpang pulai area, while in this area, the signal bar fluctuate between fullbar to 1 bar on my sensation and i can't receive and do outgoing call, but with my old htc touch 3g, the signal bar is consistent 3 bar and no issue.

If I drive out ~2 to 3 KM from my work place.. woalah.. instantly in/out call with a snap of finger

So does this meant the sensation receiption signal is weak ( or just in my case)?? Anyway i will complaint to Digi tomorrow.. sigh~~~~~~~~~ cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

how they going to fix? i dont think there is expertise on htc sensation architecture...

they will swap the dead components...they are electronic engineers working on it..and the "architecture" of all the phones are pretty much the same..

1. have u been using other phone's charger instead of the one provided from the box? if thts the case then stop using it and go back to your original charger.
2. if u are using the charger from the box then u can try pull the battery and leave it for an hour or so to allow static to discharge then try to press the power key to drain excessive power in the device's capacitor and then put the battery back in and boot it up again.
3. if the above does not work. let the phone discharge the battery slowly until it turn off itself and then put it to charge and leave it the alone until it is full.

that could be the problem...i think mili only can produce 5v/500mA... and i think htc sensation requires 5v/1A...

Updates... Finally i know what's the issue is, for some reason, my phone network mode is preset to GSM/WCDMA auto. I then re-select to GSM only and the signal bar suddenly turn full bar and no more issue on incoming and outgoing call...

Will monitor and see hows thing go later today. Hopefully this is the culprit... laugh.gif laugh.gif ...Sorry for making all the fuss here tongue.gif

then you should refer to the reply i made earlier..i added something else that you can try to do to fix it:

1. have u been using other phone's charger instead of the one provided from the box? if thts the case then stop using it and go back to your original charger.
2. if u are using the charger from the box then u can try pull the battery and leave it for an hour or so to allow static to discharge then try to press the power key to drain excessive power in the device's capacitor and then put the battery back in and boot it up again.

check your apps

I installed minimal apps and most of the time use the phone as a phone (duh!) and play games, so far no problem.

apps i got (other than games)
1. ES File explorer
2. Equalizer (messes with speaker phone function but can be fixed by disabling flip speaker)
3. Rock player
4. Dice Player
5. Juice Defender+
6. Whatsapp
7. Viber
8. Dolphine Browser HD
9. ColorNote

If you are having problems and suspect it to be software related, check your apps!
