Hey guys, Im getting this phone soon from Digi. Anything that I'd have to check before buying the phone? Gonna be my 1st smartphone, can't wait!

Just look out for dead pixels, overall body and screen has no dents, scratches, hardware buttons work properly. Test speakerphone, test calling. Can't think of anything else.

Don't worry too much.

1. Battery and sim card / microSD card cover – check whether it closes tightly before you open it.
2. Run some self test
a. Tap Phone
b. Key in *#*#3424#*#*
c. You can find quite a number of tests here – LED, Backlight, Vibrator, Display, Audio, Line Drawing, Button, HST status, Camera, System Info & Battery Run Down tests.
Note: This code will not work on custom ROM.
Also, for original set, remember to register your set to get 1+1 year warranty by SiS, the second year warranty only valid if you register online within 7 days of purchase.

the phone i get from maxis is warranty by BrightStar.. is this an original set?

how much the deposit i have to pay under maxis?
or i just have to pay only rm1599 for 2 years contract?

I paid RM1599 for 1 year contracts, Value First Plan + 1.5GB data plan..
No deposit needed.

I just saw the digi package today on the website, this phone was my first choice. But my old x1 died when i was browing around gsmarena last wednesday.. today saw the plan.. not much difference price from my DHD i got from digi last wednesday also.

Really no luck to get new item aihh
