I own a bottle of Musc Ravageur (M.R) and IMO it's the same league like SL MKK.. It's a dirty, sexy and complex but much more wearable than MKK.. People in US/EU like their oriental that way, where people here (the hot climate) didn't like it that heavy except those Arabian dude LoL. Coz that kinda fragrance do wonder in the cold weather.

What makes M.R sexy is on the heart/base, where the vanille start to come out and settle down those spices. The top is way much clove/spices/cinnamon.

Since you like MFK, can try APLS.. Maybe you like that one better..

Cheers

i was at MJ the Curve the other day to sample Maison Fancis Kurkdjian's creation. APOM, Aqua Universalis and Lumiere Noire are in my list. Still can't decide which one to go for.

for maison francis kurkdjian fragrances,  i really would want to buy a bigger bottle for the kind of money they charge per bottle. would u think ??

fortunately, APOM does last on the skin,so 3 spray is good for outdoors, and maybe 2 for indoors. buying the 70ml might last much longer than i expect.
*
i procured the 70 ml, which is the smallest bottle for apom. was given 2 samples and perfumed pouch as gift. on top of that, i was given rm40 worth of voucher.

not bad, i would say.

if anyone is looking for niche perfume, you will be delighted that Tangs One Utama brings back L'Artisan & The Different Company.

Current promotion: L'Artisan Mon Numero 1, 100ml is selling at RM450. It is an exclusive collection which consists 8 different fragrances and Mon Numero 1 is only available in Malaysia and its online store.

I just procured a bottle with some free samples throwing in to me. Pic will come soon.

Added on April 14, 2012, 11:32 pmoh, it smells 'dirty'.

Added on April 14, 2012, 11:50 pmand it still puzzles me: why Malaysia is the No 1? are we really contributing that much to L'Artisan?

1 of the  method is that , another is  u can spray on ur hand if red rashes appear then something is wrong ! there's no such thing as rejected perfume . only Original and tester As i know ! DO beware if u wanna buy it ! just my opinion  biggrin.gif
*
A minor correction there: one of the main ingredients in perfume is alcohol and the grading of perfume is determined by the concentration of alcohol, with parfum being the highest and cologne, the lowest. it also plays an important role in determining the longevity of perfume. alcohol can cause rash if you are sensitive to alcohol and the severity depends on oneself too. As for me i will get rash at the point of perfume being applied. i have minor toleration to alcohol i can easily get rash the whole body after a glass of beer.

Hence, if the perfume causes rash it does not necessary mean the perfume is sub standard.

I found a place selling RM150 for 100ml. smile.gif

i am so sorry to say this but rm150 sounds like a fishy price tag, even for a mass market fragrance.

pardon me as i really have no idea at all about getting fragrance in bangkok, but i just wanna ask where do u get good deals in bangkok?btw they have Jo Malone boutique there?in the malls?i remember my cousin has a bottle from Jo Malone and it's really nice and my cousin can add in his own notes into the original fragrance while at the boutique.
jo malone can be found in the major shopping malls in bangok as well as the airport. i procured a bottle last year at the airport.

Apparently the price of Maison Francis Kurkdjian in Malaysia has been reduced after taking over by a new distributor. The store now is in KLCC, sharing the same counter as Annick Goutal, Penhaligon's, Diptyque and Bond No. 9.

However it will be changing owner again in Jan 2013. It is a lost making business in Malaysia.

MFK in Malaysia is about 10% cheaper than in Hong Kong.

The Aqua Universalis is for yours truly whilst the newly released Amyris is for my lovely wife:

Monocle Scent One: Hinoki that I procured whilst I was in Hong Kong. There is now a counter in Isetan KLCC selling Comme Des Garçons and L'Artisan. The Hinoki is priced ridiculously.

why not you let me know which one should i test after santal?i have royal oud, green irish tweed(similar to cool water, very)himalaya, and tabarome.i have tested silver mountain water last month,so i can let u know how it smells like, its soft,a lil warm,it really reminds you a bit of a snowy mountain, soft but very nicely done, doesnt shout but classy.i think if you wear this into a meeting room, ppl will look at you.and by saying soft,it has decent longevity.currently out of them all, aventus is my number 1

wow nice stuff you got there, mind describing how they smell like?
and the hinoki that you got,you said it was priced ridiculously, how much is that?
*
Aqua Universalis - a very white, 'clean' lily of valley with a dash of bergamot and lemon. A fragrance that I would wear in summer to remind me of the snow mountain. Milder than the APOM.

Hinoki - extremely woody, a little 'dark' with very strong cedar scent. Reminds me of a 1,200 years old temple in Kyoto surrounded by monks and incense. As of other CDG perfumes, my wife disagrees with the smell. 'Smells like cedar shoe trees', she commented. It is priced at RM 444.
