i notice some just simply read from basenotes or fragrantica reviews and never smell it before and simply give out opinions as if they own those bottles, pfffftttt

+1

I think everyone would like to become the opinion leader in this very forum.

I usually go with strawberrynet. Basically more reliable/faster shipping and prices not too big difference.

FragranceX: Frag price is cheap but shipping min RM50. If you buy alot until qualify FREE SHIPPING, it is actually by sea ...takes few months.
Strawberrynet: Frag price not impressive but if you look at it, the international shpping the charge you is 10% of your frag price. If you by RM150 frag, shipping only RM15. Where to find such cheap international air shipping ? But basically the higher price of the frag is used to offset the real price of air shipping. Just example the real discounted price of your perfume is RM 120, then the additional RM30 is basically to cover your shipping. But add in a shaving cream or soap, then your frag ships to you free. I have personally 4 purchases so far. All come below 14 days.

You take bro edwardleong case. Kenzo power 50 ml for RM100. He is only charged shipping of RM10. Where can you actually find a nice packaging and international air shipping for RM10 ? So basically if you take away the hidden shipping cost, i think the strawberrynet discounted price for KP could have been maybe RM70 ...which is ...goood.

I bought my very first CDG perfume from fragrance x 4 years ago and at that time I was offered free international shipping even for just one bottle. It was a no brainer but took months for it to arrive.

There is now an increasing demand in niche perfume but certain perfume houses are priced ridiculously for instance the CDG and MMM that can be found only at isetan KLCC.

Blissandecstacy... last x'mas they have one temporary counter in Isetan together with L'Artisan. I think that's for x'mas - new year.. and their stocks are limited. Now i think they are gone... sad.gif

Gone!? Wow that was fast, just like their infamous guriella marketing tactic.

I would think so or else they will be out of business real soon. I can see that they now offer premium shipping method.

Just curious, anyone into home fragrance as well, eg perfumed candle or diffuser?

burning aroma oil and those cone shape thing most nights, now looking into trying those where you put in few wooden sticks into a bottle of aroma oil.why?

Since we have a number of fragrance aficionados in here, I guess some may have venture into another dimension of scent appreciation - home fragrance. Perhaps same thoughts and ideas can be exchanged in this very thread.

Don't get me wrong. I myself do collect perfumed candles and diffusers. Just a handful.

Mind you, it is quite addictive as well.

Astroboy22, thanks for sharing. How does it smell like?

I am currently using these in my house:
user posted image

Candles: CDG 2, APC No 2 Jasmin Vert & VCA Feerie
Diffusers: Mt Sapola, Pan Puri & India Hicks Island Living (with refills)

I personally think that candles are more lasting than diffusers. For diffusers you will have to keep on reversing the reeds (the 'sticks') monthly to revitalize the scent. Quite troublesome.

Hmmm... actually im not good at describing scent... Well, i'll try my best... To me this appears to be floral woody... and smells fresh.. It's pleasant and not "choking" .... I do smell a tinge of eucalyptus too but im not sure if this is even in it... Maybe you can try to test it out at bangsar village 2.. Cheers...

You have quite an interesting collection there... CDG 2 seems interesting... smile.gif

CDG 2 is my fav, I even have a bottle of the fragrance.

Oh, just received a notification that my Heeley is on the way!

I was at Hide & Seek along Bussorah Street, Singapore just now sampling some Etat Libre d' Orange, Histoires de Parfums, Nobile 1942, Huitieme Art, Yosh & Mona Di Orio. They also have Tauer & Humiecki & Graef.

Spent a good afternoon there, chit-chatting with the manager and the associate.

I felt bad that I didn't pull any trigger there......might go back tomorrow.......

you got them in Singapore? btw, those are really precious samples!!!!! happy for you. haha
*
Yup. In fact she did offer me some other samples such as Universalis, APOM, Honour, Dial etc but I felt that I already had too many samples I didn't take her offer.

Creed is more generous at giving out samples. The vial contains 2.5ml as compared to SL only 1 ml.

I find that for SL, though unique, you can always blind buy without even trying on it. I tried a few meant for women and surprisingly they smelled great on men as well.

YSL La Nuit de L'Homme Parfum at Singapore international airport is selling at SGD101 and EDT at SGD92 only.

You can't find the Parfum in Malaysia, only EDT is available.
