Haha nice alternative to Pure Havane

*
i dunno if u have smelled pure havane, animale animale is similar ONLY in the opening notes and it stays pretty linear throughout, pure havane develops into something really smooth, the honey notes is good.i dont think its fair to compare them other than the opening notes only

OKAY.. I'm done trolling and joking lol  tongue.gif
about that perfume Bro Edward post. I respect's kelthuzad's opinion. however, why are they 'wrong' just because they are cheap? or even made in China, for that matter. I do have a question. or two

1. Prada Pour Homme = Channel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme / some say Chanel Allure Allure Homme Sport (but I lean more toward Eau Extreme)
*Prada isn't cheap. but they do smell similar.

2. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille vs L'Occitane En Provence Eau De Baux
*according to Astroboy, they're not the same. but ALMOST simalar. Eau De Baux isn't cheap
but when there's this RM 30 perfume which smells familar, it becomes wrong?  hmm.gif

there are so many perfumes that smells like another.

Animale Animale = Pure Malt/ A*Men (I have not smelled it. but you get the idea. even if just the opening, still got similarity what)
Perry Ellis 360 Red = Giorgio Armani ADG
Davidoff = CREED Green Irish Tweed
SJ Unforgivable = CREED  MI (very very very very smilar. but SJ Unforgivable isn't cheap)

so, it's ok to wear perfumes that smell similar to another bottle as long as they are not cheap or not made in China?  rclxub.gif

wow.when a joke needs explanation,it just isnt funny anymore, the same goes to my sarcasm.okay since explanation is needed, here goes:
products made in china not all are bad of course, and it has nothing to do with china, adoi,so if i use india as the origin, everything about india will appears??hahahaha aih what i meant is that china counterfeiters imitate a ferrari by making the red Ferrari F355 on the outside, and a used Pontiac Fiero on the inside, and it cost $10,000 only.now if you ask any real ferrari enthusiast, they will still fork out millions to get the real one than the imitation.if you need to ask why,i have nothing to say anymore...as this saying goes, dont get down to "their level",as they will beat u with experience whistling.gif

1stly,i dont know why other comparisons came out when the beginning its only about those rm30 "our version of" perfume bottle.
2ndly,even if we take those comparisons, what makes you so sure that cool water really copied green irish tweed?or other fargs u mentioned?they might or they might not,if they didnt then people that accuse that would be really wrong, for sure animale animale didnt copy pure havane,p.diddy likes millesime imperial so much that he creates his own version, and for that i dont respect him that much,i dont own unforgivable nor any celebrity endorsed fragrances, thats my stance with imitation.how would you like it if i copied your school projects(since you are a student, hence this example,i need to explain everything here you know)alter it a bit, submit it and claim its mine?i dunno,i am someone who's proud with my effort and my work, hence i respect the work of perfumers. i heard this from somewhere before "theres no substitute for the real deal if that's what you really like. It might take you longer before you're able to own the more expensive bottle, but it will be worth it when you got it."now i am very sure that the intention of those rm30 frags wants to copy and imitate the real bottles as the word "inspired by" is printed on the box,go to page 123 for confirmation

what i was thinking at the same time is that why they dont come out with something out of their own creation instead of rm30 "our version of...."?? i have tried sniffing many at hypermakets and watsons on these imitation perfumes, they smell very different from the scents they wanna imitate,so why tarnish the good name of the real products by taking their name on imitation bottle??because of "i dont care i just wanna make some money"??go sniff them before saying they smell the same.
for me,i recognise effort and talent, when something is made from 100% effort,it gets my support, same goes with a bottle of fragrance, when efforts are put in to create an original bottle, imitators just copied the recipe and try to replicate them,i am referring to these rm30 "our version of..." frags, which you woud never know what stuff they add into the bottle,as i have said before this bout the same thing whereby they can harm your health, you really think malaysian health ministry gonna check all this rm30 perfume companies??even non halal restaurants can get a halal sticker at the door nowadays..so since you are okay with buying and using rm30 "our version of" perfume, why dont you just buy fakes??1stly you can save so much money,2ndly they are more similar to the real thing than the rm30 "our version of" frags, lastly you even have the same bottle,so tell me...either you are (a)a buyer who buys fakes as well since they smell similar and no wrong and can save money or (b)someone who doesnt buy fakes, but why dont buy it since your points match fake bottles 100%?no wrong what, they smell similar

Kelthuzad & Joey-kun, I understand every single point you're pointing out.
Just one question. to we fragrance enthusiast, they do matter. Due to our passion in fragrance, we can detect it. but when go out in the public, how many people can actually tell?
but there are more people (bigger majority I mean) that just want to smell good. for an example bro Bingbangformula here. he just wants to smell good in campus.
"I just want to smell good" is the most common motive on why people buy and wear fragrances.
which is why Polo Blue, Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio, Chanel Allure Homme Sport are selling like hot cakes.

not many people dig fragrances like we enthusiast do.
that is my point.

so, they end up buying cheapo made in china or RM 30 fragrances or anything yang sama species like that only because "I just want to smell good", which I as a fragrance lover don't find it wrong at all. I rather them smelling like a cheapo than smelling their stinky smelly body odour which some jerks think it is soooo cool because it is masculine like that. yucks  rclxub.gif
*
1stly,from where does this made in china perfume comes from?i only mentioned fake ferraris from china.
2ndly,based on your points again,so its ok to buy fake perfumes as well since they are cheapo and better to use fakes than use nothing and smell stinky, right?just a yes or no answer will do for this.
3rdly,you said that when we go out in public, who can actually tell they are real or rm30 cheapies, well only 1 person will know....the wearer.i never wear it for others, whether they can tell or not,i dont care, but i do know.if not why would people buy a bottle costing thousands?its for personal indulgence
bro bigbangformula just wanted to smell good, yes thats his objective, but when he's here at this forum,we here are responsible to help out and educate a little bit on the health issues rather than just smelling good and i dont wish we get to hear he got skin cancer in "PErfume for guys v15" thread later.when we have the knowledge,we should let them know what is more recommend than to just smelling good.so if a guy comes up to u and said he wants a stress reliever, you just poke a cigarette to him??without telling him the side effects??
and based on your points again, you rather have them smelling like a cheapo than smelling their stinky smelly body odour which some jerks think it is soooo cool because it is masculine like that, yuck. now if i take back your previous statement bout cheapo and expensive original botlle comparison, you said whats wrong with using cheapo?now i would like to ask u back, whats wrong with not using any perfumes or deodarants but just body odour?it's personal preferance but you seems to despise them

I am sorry. Didn't know my post of humour will end up this way sad.gif
I don't mind paying for quality and established brand when comes to personal health care and beauty products coz I very kiasi... I rather buy a bottle of Brut or Adidas or Playboy frag than those inspired by... In fact I just got a bottle of Brut Musk for less than 30

And bro Kel, I do agree with ur smell similar not equal to copy statement.
*
nah dont worry bro,i take this as a debate or discussion,to understand things better.even the best couples argued and patch up,thats how they become stronger and more understanding towards each other.dont let this scare you from posting whatever you want

Can wearing perfumes make someone have a higher risk of getting skin cancer?  blink.gif How about spraying it on the clothes, would that be better?
*
it might, quite high possibility too i think, not just skin, you inhale into your lungs too.many really good perfume, like coco chanel, chanel no.5, used to be made using the secretion of civet, some exotic animals like skunk, mostly from africa, meaning adding their their pee or shit, because it produce really nice animalistic musk.due to health concerns, they are replace with synthetics, but what makes artificial chemicals 100% safe??my friend develop many more moles on his upper body after excessive spraying, maybe he has sensitive skin,i dont know
i dont spray on clothes, try spraying dior homme intense on your clothes, you need clorox everytime to wash out the stain, and development of the fragrance isnt as good as on skin, skin projects better too,but yeah, spraying on clothes may help if health concern is the main concern.but when u worry too much,u will take out the fun

hmm dont overly concern bout this.as i remember really well this saying from bro wazzap, worry more bout the harmful chemicals in cigarettes rather than those in fragrance.

Sometimes its just the nose getting used to the smell. If you get poor longevity, increase the amount of sprays until you get it to last. It differs from scent to scent. Some scents i have to use up to 9-10 sprays to last on me.

trust me,its not olfactory fatigue for sure.l'homme is also well known for its poor longevity

bro Kel, need ur opinion.... I like the opening of Polo Double Black and the drydown of London.... which one to go for?

This will complete my perfect lineup of my beginner collection
*
wahh very hard to decide, both my favourite, double black is sweet and has my favourite notes in it,nutmeg, london is nice when its worn after 3-4 hours.for me,double black is more versatile i think, but i dunno, these 2 really hard to decide, both last quite long on me,8 hours usually.most people prefer polo black,i have both black and double black but i like double black more.scent wise, they are both winners, but i will choose double black for comparison wise,i wear double black more than london,i prefer wearing london when its cold or rainy days, the wet, damp feeling.but london is actually very good, too hard to choose la bro,buy both la.i wear double black when i go to work and need to look sharp, whereas for london for me its more laidback, when i wear cardigans or wool, then i will spray on london.in terms of complexity and development of scent, london wins.these will be your lineup for number what?

Bro Kel, I am currently perfecting my 8 value bottles for day-to-day purposes. Here are the 7 I got so far:

1. Ck One Shock - staple workhorse scent for me. IMO the only CK that I find it worth having
2. Bogart Pour Homme - My most recent addition, and yet rise to be one of my fav. My staple work scent,
3. L'occitane Eau des Baux - Online review it as poor man's Tobacco Vanille. I can't comment as TV is way beyond my reach. For me, it is sexy, smooth blend of spice n vanilla. One of my staple work scent. Plus my gf love it so much on me
4. Polo Romance Silver - as the name say for itself, romantic scent. Subtle projection, nice longevity. My signature date scent my gf want to smell on me
5. Dior Homme Intense - my no-brainer night-time scent for club, drink, occasionally I wear to work
6. Sean John's Unforgivable - Millesime Imperial anyone? Lol... This is my sprayer-liberal friendly work scent wink.gif it is so aromatic and inoffensive. The champaign vibe never fails to nab u girl in club
7. Bleu de chanel - my go-to frag going grocery, gym, work, hot day etc... it can be wear on any occasion. The chances u bump into any guy with same scent is lower compare to ADG or AHS lol
8. Still looking for a versatile king frag that can alternate with my BDC... Currently looking at polo DB or london... Not really a big fan of fresh or aquatic, so need ur opinion lo bro kel
*
i think your problem isnt which one to add in,but its which one to get 1st.and then think of one more to add it to 10 bottles.i used to have same concern as u,whichever u choose now,u will end up buying the other one anyway, its just a matter of time,so just get both, but dont buy at retail la.can get both bottles for the price of one at retail price, and with a bit of spare change for coffee

you can sell your body kouros to me,pm me.

bought this few days ago...tried twice full wearing, heres my conclusion.nothing to do with dior homme series at all, this is dior's take on chanel allure homme sport series, from the beginning to drydown, its very similar to allure homme sport+allure homme sport eau extreme, but in a nice way, simple notes, last quite long on me too despite being a cologne, nice if i dont wanna wear anything complicated, pleasant enough, but if u have allure homme sport/versace pour homme/armani code sport/hugo boss sport/issey miyake sport, skip this
