These few hours have been very interesting.. The development is going forwards in a very fast pace. Many attempts have been made to break the system, and it seems that the dev community has succeeded. There is no 100% sure confirmation yet though, so do not pop the champagne bottles yet. Still, as I said in a freenode irc channel; I would at least go and fetch the bottle opener if I were you..

if your phone are root... download faster fix and gps status

in faster fix. change server to My. then open gps status to get the status lock... after that.. try use papago again.

I noted that FP doesn't has any tips and tricks about gps (correct me if i'm wrong), maybe TS should put in tips and tricks post a guide of this.  iamkent, if u still can't get a lock (i've said this thousands of times), make sure u try this:

1) remove any phone protection, skins or casings, sometimes these things tends to block gps receiving
2) do as above edan said
3) if still can't lock (papago sucks big time, i know, been there), use Aura Sygic

it's true, SOME casings will block, especially those condom type that cover the entire back of the phone.  i'm using plastic snap on casing, cheap, tough and won't block signals, locks within 10 seconds

Like edan said just now, all you need to do is download FasterFix and GPS Status & Tools

For FF, set to Malaysia server. And for GPS Status, download A-GPS data, you will find it in the app's setting.

Mine can lock GPS 8sec. Btw, Sygic Aura FTW ..!
