but seeing from the msg there,
it seem that you had Exchange ActiveSync tick and htc sync through usb at the same time .
you didn't do that?

I don't use exchange activsync though,
but the place you should find it on setting>account& sync
if you don't use exchange activesync, or never setup it,
then it might be other problem

btw, I'm waiting for sir monza to upload virtuous 1.2.5

i'm not sure which backup app that suitable for unroot user,
for root user, mostly they will use my backup root or titanium backup

as far as I know google account kinda important for android phone,
i use google for contact, calendar (appointment) etc .

These few hours have been very interesting.. The development is going forwards in a very fast pace. Many attempts have been made to break the system, and it seems that the dev community has succeeded. There is no 100% sure confirmation yet though, so do not pop the champagne bottles yet. Still, as I said in a freenode irc channel; I would at least go and fetch the bottle opener if I were you..

You already got gold card, go download 2.36 stock rom ruu then ruu to that stock rom. Downgrading 2.36 is much more easier, i just successfully downgrade from 2.36 yesterday.

CID error meaning you need to create a gold card. If you already did a gold card and still can't boot, I think you need to create once again because I guess there is something wrong when you try create one before.

At first you use the SD card that you want to create for GC, did you format it to FAT32 first ..?
Fot GC tools, no need to download the tools from XDA there, you can download gold card helper from Market. From there, you can reverse CID and send it to your email and so on according to the step.
