Hi there, a proud owner of the DV6 6114TX now smile.gif

I installed Minitool Partition Home edition and split my C drive into two 300GB drives, but now the laptop seems to be stuck at this black screen, with "(1) of (7) operations" displayed with the C drive details.. how long should the partitioning process take actually? sad.gif

update: got it sorted out wink.gif and am enjoying this awesome machine!

Review on the llano-powered HP DV6 is out: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-HP-Pav...ok.57360.0.html

Seemed rather buggy though, still too new to tell how good it actually is nod.gif

Hopefully it won't take ages for AMD to mature that ACF and BACON. doh.gif

Basically it will create unallocated/free space before or after your C: partition. Refer peektur in teh spoilah.
U just shrink it right? I don't think your data will lost.

If u delete the F:\ partition the unallocated space will merge unless the unallocated space u've created is BEFORE C:\ partition.

Since your F:\ partition barely have any data, i suggest you just delete it and recreate the partition. It will save your time merging the data. hmm.gif

Added on July 16, 2011, 6:44 amBtw you have created your recovery disk?

For the Llano powered DV6, the performance will not improve much in terms of processing power. The only aspect it can improve through updates is the graphics performance.

The processor will always be barely as powerful as an i3 which is just a dual core while the AMD is a quad core....

Buy original. Last week got Steam Summer Sales. I think GTA4 was sold for RM7 only. The whole Grand Theft Auto package (including vice city, liberty) for RM15. Original.

Original DVD inside casing is very expensive, usually more than RM100.

But you have two options to buy original games. First option, buy the original DVD which costs more than rm100. Second option, buy the games using credit card from http://store.steampowered.com/ and download the games from there (no use DVD).

Pros and Cons of the two methods of buying original games:

1. Original DVD = Can keep as collection, expensive, cannot install anymore in future if DVD rosak

2. Buy games from Steam = Very cheap especially during Sales promotion, that time Bad Company 2 was sold for RM5 (last two weeks), can easily install using setup, download speed is fast
