one question to ask.. if i claim my iphone at digi there. they only chg me the phone. or the whole set with box??

I think it's very depend on the staff there and your luck, some people fail to claim warranty on this branch but manage to claim the warranty from another branch. Seen so far all these about warranty claim thread I think you only need luck, so before you go better go and pray more for your warranty to claim successfully or if the staff there don't allow you to claim then shout at them that you want see their manager. I think most people get the 2nd idea work thumbup.gif

Yeah, the best is equip with anger and turn your face colour to black then they shall know what to do then biggrin.gif Mine also got yellow tint problem not sure want to go claim warranty or not. Feel like going to claim it since my iPhone accidently dropped before so there is a small little dent part there, whenever I saw it I feel very heart pain so thinking of going to claim warranty for the yellow tint and then get a like new condition iPhone rclxms.gif

today, i went to digi center in the xxxxxx mall) and then they saw there is a little bit scratches on the top of my iphone, the refuse to cover the warranty for me! and yet they ask me go to any apple store or machine to ask them verified a letter by proving that apple is going cover this iphone warranty only they do change me a new iphone! so now im going up stairs machine and ask, and the staff there told me : is non of our business why dxgx so not responsible in this all cases and trying to push to us. you bought from them, you got to ask the warranty from them. (yes i agree and think so too!)
i back to digi, then they tell me to call apple customer service! so i call them and i ask for the letter! they ask me to send a photo of the iphone. so i sent them the iphone photo where the scratches are and the whole iphone image! now they said, yes apple do cover this warranty! we make you a letter and you should no problem to get the warranty from the digi already!
then i pass the phone to the staff in digi there,the apple customer service person told them all the things, about the letter they sent to the digi already,and ask them check.
now the digi staff tell me after the call is ended, said: sorry our line are slow now and we couldn't check for you right now, can please leave your number here and once done we will phone you to get your replacement of iphone! let's see what to do by the digi..in this few days they said will phone me back!

p/s:one more question to ask, do the digi apple customer line will be charge when i phone them? 1800-80-6419 this number. and how much charge for a mins? i do phone them around 1 hours for this all, and this stupid letter,and if end up without warranty replacement! i want to complaint!!

Yeah, nowadays they play the monopoly in iPhone fields that's why they doesn't care so much or train their staff on the customer services. They like to push here and there and see if you'll give up to claim the warranty at the end then they save up a lot of procedure. I think they will charge for calling to Apple and I think the rate is according to your plan? They are really stupid they sell the phone to you and yet they ask you go back to Machines WT ??? shocking.gif Anyway the Apple customer service is really good as I called them before and you really can tell that they are willing to serve you from the way they response to you thumbup.gif Anyway mind to show us the scratch on your phone? Is it serious?

within 3 mins they do the paperwork for me and tell me you can now claim the warranty from digi! but then digi ask me to wait for their calls?!! WT....

Just a small scratch, don't understand why just a small scratch they decide not to cover with warranty? Between I think I will also go claim warranty since my phone got yellow tint problem and get a like new condition iPhone but I'm also kind of worry since my phone also got a small dent part sad.gif So do you leave your phone there or you bring your phone back with you?

i bring my phone back. and wait for their call.
they can just say, this scratches is because you drop your phone! then your yellow tint happen after you drop biggrin.gif
and then say when i pass this phone to you, means when you bought everythg was fine biggrin.gif
hahaha this the reason,and they can straight away tell you, your warranty VOID!!
just phone to apple, and show them your phone by email,if okay they will provide you the letter!

i not sure about this, because i pass the call to the digi staff and let the apple staff to talk with them.. i only heard like they mail to the HQ like what gxx document or what..and the staff also request to get one copy from the apple,and ask them to send one copy to the staff email..

till now i still hvnt warranty my iphone..so let's see what happen on next biggrin.gif

Nice one, you ask the Apple customer service operator to talk to Digi staff or the operator ask you to pass the phone to Digi staff? Next time I'll try this on the spot call Apple when the staff refuse to take my to claim warranty biggrin.gif Anyway is the operator you talk to a foreigner?

yup a foreigner! i think is singapore apple HQ if nt wrong.
the apple staff ask me to pass to them biggrin.gif cos i told him i been waiting at digi here for 3 hours and a not really responsible and good services by them. and then they said sorry to me and ask me pass the phone to them, cos they told me they already done all paperwork should be no problem on that, he ask to talk v the digi staff for those paperwork details,because the digi staff keep asking for the letter from me,and i dint get any letter from apple
and the apple staff said they mail to digi HQ already should be alright 1.so end up with not yet warranty with my iphone, then the digi staff ask me to wait first..they will check and phone me once confirm and done

Yeah, I remember I read somewhere from the internet that Malaysia Apple is operate by SG. Nice one, now I think they will wait for the refurbished set and once arrive they might call you up to come collect the refurbished set but still not bad they allow you to bring back the phone when the stock come just exchange for you on the spot. I asked mine service centre here they want me to pass them the phone and go back wait for 14 working days just come back collect, will try to negotiate if they allow me to bring back the phone and when the refurbished set come just pass to them since really not convenient to wait them for few weeks and I don't have any spare phone sad.gif
