Basically the cash back cap for petrol and the auto annual fee waiver.
Read first post or go check UOB website.

Thanks for the alert, guys. It was really a mystery call and I suspect they purposely call to miss you because my phone was just beside my laptop when I was replying an email but somehow I didn't realized my phone vibrated until I checked my phone later  shakehead.gif
If is a call from cs, my desk will be shaking like tsunami arrived  brows.gif
*
So did you call UOB CS (number behind your card) and check if they called you?

If they do not wanna waive the AF, then how??
You will need to beg them??  rclxub.gif
*
The moment you call them to request for annual fee waiver, one is already begging lah tongue.gif

And you know what, I called UOB recently and was told that for my UOB Plat, there is currently NO autowaiver condition/policy shocking.gif I will be charged annual fee no matter what (I did satisfy the previous condition of RM3K and 12 swipes) and have to call in to beg them for the AF waiver doh.gif

the cashback has gone up already to 8%. currently u can get rm10 tesco voucher for 1000 bhp points. i think currently the highest petrol cash back on weekday would be combination of uob one card + bhp petrol on weekday

I never thought it woud be tiring to apply for a cc.
*
Too bad your first experience was kind of frustrating.

However, if you did not tick on the application form what card you want, then it is partly your fault as you were negligent. If you had ticked the type of card you want, then you can make an official complain to BNM.

hi guys,

my UOB cc will expired this November,
i wonder when the GST and annual fee will be charge to me CC.
is it in the November bill?
if i cancel my CC on November, do i have to pay for the GST and annual fee?
*
it will be charged on your card anniversary date. You can call CS to check and same time request for AF waiver.... they will then blah blah blah, insist you want AF waived if you still want the card and they can do it for you..

at the verge of cancelling my plat 1 card (after using up all ca$h and cb) and got the sms buy-1-free-1 movie ticket at gsc for online movie purchase. my gf (using normal 1 card) did not get the sms.

anyone here know if this offer is for all uob card or only for plat card holder? in the sms no expiry date also for the promotion. call the number provided but no ppl pickup, prolly because of lunch time
*
The Free 1 for 1 Movie ticket at GSC via online booking is a VISA promotions and therefore your gf's One Card is also entitled to the promo. Actually, better to use your gf card because not only will she also be eligible for the free ticket BUT get 5% cash back and even 5% SMART$ Cash. The GSC Visa promo ends this month.

i get 2 new card when apply for uob card. can i just activate the cash back visa card and cut the uob master card? if not activate the master card , do they charge gst for the master card.
*
you will be charged GST for both cards. If you do not want the card, apply for what? And if you did not tick the application form yourself on what card you want, then it is your fault. And by the way, what card you apply, i.e. Plat or something else.

You could:

1. Visit the nearest UOB branch and talk to a Personal Banker.

2. Call 03-26128121. OR

3. Visit 24-hour electronic banking ctr (e-lobby) and use the FREE phone to call UOB121

haha, 1 year later and the annual income requirement has dropped. Actually at RM150K/year income the UOB VI still not attractive compared to Alliance Bank's VI.

Im planning to terminate one of my cc..either uob one classic or mbb2card..

Which do you suggest? Since im hardly use them anymore
*
MBB 2 Cards FREE For Life, no need call for annual fee waiver.

So I guess if I was you I will cancel the UOB and save me the hassle to go call them for annual fee waiver.

QUOTE(voscar @ Aug 31 2013, 12:58 PM)
I have fed-up with UOB credit card, really hopeless with their cash rebates policy...
Initially I applied the UOB one credit card coz of 5% petrol rebate for RM500 of usage, so got the UOB One "Classic Card" 2011. That time it seems no differences in cash rebate between the Classic and Platinum Card, so I was fine using it.

In year 2012 dunno effective which month, the petrol rebate for Classic Card suddenly capped to RM20.00 (RM400 usage), and their terms and conditions suddenly revised and stated clearly for the Classic Card rebates. Fine, I keep using it.

This month, received latest statement and found Petrol Rebate at RM15.00, I was shocked. Quickly go to their website and found a new revised terms and conditions dated 1-Aug-2013. This time the Petrol rebate capped to RM15.00 (RM300 usage).

I was really fed-up, as initially I tot this UOB card's cash rebate doesn't have a "promotion period" like other bank. But it seems they also practice the same, silently cutting down rebate from time-to-time to current cardholder. I will consider changing to another bank.

Got to go update above in post No.1.

Yeah, UOB keep changing the so called "standard" features of their credit cards (and other T&C like annual fee waiver) but same can be said for SCB and Citibank too.
