VHF signal... As far as i know there's TV1, TV2 & TV3 ("Mono" audio) signal still on there... hmm.gif
*
Actually, TV3 VHF is not mono audio. At least in Klang Valley. My TV has been picking up NICAM stereo signal from TV3 VHF as of late. Also, They also launch NTV7 on VHF channel 7 - how they're allowed that is a mystery, it's right next to channel 8 used by TV2.

I recall one frequency on VHF has been allocated for DMB-T radio. Previously they have TV on DMB-T as well, but as of late they stopped transmitting TV channels on DMB-T. Have to take out my old Pontus and scan again. The Pontus calls the frequency range "Band III" - the old name for VHF.

What Digital TV stations can be received in Penang island?
*
Most likely nothing at the moment. I don't expect Thailand to be testing their DVB-T2 signal close to the border.

btw TV3 is digtally free to air yet?

Afaik, not really. Media Prima afaik currently has no DVB-T signal. Last I checked 5 years ago TV3 was available on Media Prima's DMB-T signal. Yes, they're testing TV on DMB-T, a system different from RTM's DVB-T and the same system RTM is using for digital radio. But not sure if they're still transmitting, but even if it is, it's very low power and only in the Damansara Utama and Bandar Damansara area. Even Klang cannot receive.

I'm new here. I bought  a sanyo tv in Australia. It served me really we'll especially in digital channel. Then brought back to MY.  Just noticed the region setting is locked to Australia. Wonder if someone can unlock this maybe with a few twist. My TV is sanyo  46xr10f model. Thanks in advanced.

Should be able to force it to rescan all frequency and see what turns up. Since the same system is used (DVB-T v1), it should be okay regardless of region. RTM is transmitting on 658MHz and 674MHz iirc.

Highly suspicious. TV2 doesn't even broadcast HD through DVB atm.

Can you try to see if there's a factory reset option in the manual? Maybe it'll allow you to change once factory reset.

Hmm... Try daisy chaining two boosters? Assuming that doesn't cause the digital box to explode....

Might need to play dirty already... You will need to ask around how to get into the TV's service menu. However I cannot help you with this one, you must either ask Sanyo yourself or google. Good luck!
(on Sharp TVs, you need to use a factory controller, the Sharp factory has a special remote control that activates the menu. Don't know about Sanyo).

Anyone can explain what it means to daisy chain  boosters or two UHF aerials and does it help to improve reception, thanks!
*
Daisy chain two boosters is connecting two boosters back to back (i.e. the output of one booster directly connect to the input of another). I suspect it will fry the tuner at worst since one booster will amplify the input by certain amount of decibels, two will cause the amplification to ramp up exponentially, which may be beyond the threshold of a TV tuner's tolerance level. At best signal is amplified twice and the PQ improves.

use indoor antenna can receive?
*
I'm using indoor antenna to receive. Although admittingly, I have to put the antenna near a window, and it still is a boosted antenna. Also, none of my computers can be on when receiving RTM Digital. Aside from that, it's amazing. Indoor antenna and yet the quality is 10 times better than assteruk.

Can old fishbone antenna use this digital receiver box?
*
Should be yes. Because the digital signal will be over UHF.

Not asking about those service manual

I mention about build in DTB-T2.Will MYTV block build in DVT-T2 from the TV and force every user to buy their DVB-T2 Box set ?

I also how to apply BSH for free tvbox ?
*
I think there’s a possibility since MYTV box has a card slot at the bottom. If they want to block they will need to start using the card slot. But I think they will not, at least not with Media Prima and RTM channels, since the gomen already comment that DVB-T2 tuner built into past, existing and future TVs can be used. Only thing they’re blocking are boxes not from MYTV, which I still think is stupid since the boxes are so basic that there is no PVR.

Dunno if they’re blocking T2 USB Tuner sticks tho. I need one pair for my MCPC but dare not import.
