try to buy receivers with external power adapter
usually after 1 year, first thing to spoil is the power supply unit.
if built-in type, cannot repair.
if adaptor type, just replace the adaptor.

many of us never use those features anyway, especially 'smart' tv. after few years when google change the codes for youtube, all become obsolete anyway.

who knows... in 1 year time then come dvb t3 and everything is obsolete again.
the tv have a longer lifespan compared to those inputs.
thus the idea of using a simple tv and external box.

there is also android based dvbt2 box.. so can do kodi + dvbt2

also realised, that hypptv is now free for everyone. can stream tv1-tv9 for free.

too slow method, just get multiple dish, then switch using disec

motorize is expensive.. need to buy motor, need to allocate space, maintenance etc.
just use disec to do selection of sat. go get a dvbs2 to play.

in many case, just use one dish and multi LNB, then switch different LNB only.

i wonder if this is possible with dvbt. example, switching between singapore and malaysia stations
