QUOTE(ben83 @ Jun 20 2011, 12:46 PM) I forgotten... besides rich brats, there are die-hard foolhardy people too in this world. But seriously these are not my concern. My concern since my earlier post is all about buyers duped into buying AP SGS2 under fake rumors about delayed launching & much higher launching prices than AP unit as well as HTC Sensation. And here u are , in a forum for a yet-to-be-official release phone , reading on the early adaptors comments , point of view but instead of feeling grateful that these people provide u with an idea of whats the phone is going to b like , u mock them .

QUOTE(ben83 @ Jun 20 2011, 01:18 PM) Thank you to early adopters for your kind review even though we have xdadevelopers, gsmarena, mobile-review & etc website around. And by the way, why all the defensive mode? My mere reply is just concern about genuine buyers being duped to buy earlier. It was never about the early adopters, whether they are rich, die-hard fans, foolhardy or anything you can think of. Simply because nobody likes to be called of referred to as a fool especially from a stranger . Do u know each and every one of the early adaptors and their background ? If no , what right do u have to judge a person ?

QUOTE(Denwcp @ Jun 20 2011, 10:01 PM) Don't be so lazy ... even if u asked, the others will still need to retrieve it through the search function, why bother other ppl when u can do it by simply clicking it? Do you ever asked others to help you to wipe ur ass when u can reach the toilet papers beside u, in the toilet? common sense .... +1

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jun 20 2011, 10:19 PM) Hahaha... Have you gotten your SGS2 yet mate? I wonder what wondrous craziness you're putting (or WILL put) it through lol. I for one WILL NOT touch my CPU (except maybe some underclocking/undervolting if the battery life EVER gets on my nerves) after what happened to my N900 heh. Yes bro and I'm still new to Android unlike Symbian .... Dont play to be a "Smart-Arse" like with my i8910 ..... Besides , no warranty claim for me since it's an AP set i'm using coz i'm a er..... oh ya " spoilt brat "

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Jun 20 2011, 10:48 PM) hmmmm... the flexy screen that is sth like a paper? read some write up about it a few mths back... interesting though its hard to imagine how a phone would need to be bent in such way that it requires such a screen. or the flex h Dr e means just able to become a contour surface? but good to know sgs2 will have abt 14mths left before being displaced by sgs3... well,sgs3 with a new name anyway. Here is a clue for what 2 expect for our future AMOLED screen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJEHp15Hoo0&feature=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPF9Kp7W_s0&feature=relatedDo bear in mind it might have changed for the better now or maybe the project might have been scrapped off ..... Till then , lets enjoy our SGSII This post has been edited by Noobi3: Jun 20 2011, 11:02 PM

QUOTE(tunasandwich @ Jun 21 2011, 12:13 AM) Any SGS2 users here used the Xperia Arc before? I just played with my fren's Arc and the pictures taken by the Arc is simply amazing! Can the pictures taken by the SGS2 comparable to the Xperia Arc if not better? A very frank answer , no , ARC wins SGS2 , even better than Sensation but that's all i find Arc better . Rest of the features cant be compared to SGS2 or Sensation

QUOTE(ventrilocks @ Jun 20 2011, 11:25 PM) what did he do until it become like that? Dled a firmware from Samsung-ware.com .... Seems it comes with 3 files and even .PIT file ..... Followed the instruction given and seriously , I'm kinda puzzle if they uploaded a wrong file , SGS instead of SGS2 coz it comes with Odin 1.3 This post has been edited by Noobi3: Jun 21 2011, 12:25 AM

QUOTE(tunasandwich @ Jun 21 2011, 12:49 AM) so means Arc > Sensation > SGS2? Anyone able to give a comparison of pictures taken by all 3? I wouldnt say ARC > Sensation > SGS2 ...... In terms of picture quality , best way to do a comparison is to take a photo and dl it to a pc 2 view . Viewing it on the device itself to compare is a bit bias as SGS2 does have a better screen compared to those 2 so a 3rd party screen like a monitor is the best ...... Each got its pros and cons but if u r into night/dark action photos ( u know wat i mean ) , I strongly suggest ARC This post has been edited by Noobi3: Jun 21 2011, 01:49 AM

QUOTE(shymx @ Jun 21 2011, 04:33 AM) Haha okay thanks pcboy . Btw SuperCurio 3 is the easiest way to root for dummies ? Or Superclick ? If anything goes wrong i can use the USB jig to restore to default right ? Prefer Chainfire + comes with CWM which is quite handy for themes flashing or some other tweaks like boot animations , circular battery , black dialer , etc .... U cant go wrong if u read the instructions . JIGS cant restore to default , just reset your binary counter to zero and removed the yellow mark at bootup since u r running a non-Samsung kernel . Oh ya , it also boot u into download mode just in case u screwed up your hp aka soft brick where your buttons no longer work

QUOTE(shymx @ Jun 21 2011, 04:53 AM) Thanks for the reply . Flashing ClockworkMod Recovery on SGS II by Chainfire << is this the one ? So the jig is useful for a noob like me right ? im a HTC user for almost 5 years but i never root before thinking that its too dangerous to do so ~.~ Yes that is correct or u can try out this link as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399JIGS is useful for both noobs and pros when they brick their phones . Pros doesnt mean u cant brick your phone , shit happens like a power surge while flashing . Here is a brief description of how and when its used Chances are, if you attempted to flash a new ROM using ODIN and failed(ODIN fails a lot) you will have damaged your System partition, meaning you can no longer boot into Android OS. Normally this would be an easy fix, only requiring one to boot back into download mode and try again with ODIN. However, all Samsung Captivates and other Galaxy S variants manufactured after October 2010 are hardware locked, or have the ability to boot into recovery and download mode via button combinations disabled. This would leave users in a state of limbo, unable to enter download or recovery mode and no working system image, but thankfully Samsung has built into their phones an alternate hardware level interface to force it into download mode. All it requires is a micro USB cable, around three dollars worth of resistors and maybe fifteen to twenty minutes of your time aka JIG.
