A good tiler, makes a heck lot of diffrent. 
They have many years of experience and kung fu thus knows all the little nuances that helps you cover the defects of a house such as non symmetrical angled walls and good water floe for your toilet.
My toilet now have good water flow, no pools of water at any corner left to dry. 

wow, that's nice man. the most important is move in and celebrate cny at new house; ur house looks fantastic...the bed too. so freaking huge!!

Wooden Doors

Went in search of wooden doors.
Visited 5 shops.
Below are a few points I've got.
I may be wrong, feel free to correct me.

Generally solid wooden doors are graded in 3 main categories.
A, B and C.

A- Very nice and relatively even wood grain / lines.
Can go for light colour varnish / shellec - to show off the nice grain / natural pattern

B- Medium quality wood grain / lines
Either dark colour shellec or solid paint - to hide the unevenness

C- Lower quality range usually mixed wood.
Solid paint only is recommended - hide everything

Wood for the mid to high range can be Nyatoh, Meranti, Merpauh..

Standard size is 33 6/8" X 83". The width is the same but the length is usuallu needed to be cut to suit your door frame.

The cost:-
The price I've encountered is verrryyy varied. 
Generally
Door + Installation + Painting + Lock

I concentrated on Nyatoh B and Merpauh

Door - RM 250 to 380 to 430 / pc
Install - RM120 to 150 to 200
Paint - RM100 to 200
Lock - RM20 - RM 200 or more

Some even charge transport seperately.

For narrower doors, it is not so easy to find so quite pricey for wooden doors.

Another option is Plywood doors.
It is not solid but cheap and has very modern pattern.
1 plywood door RM 350-380 include instalattion.

Food for thought.

A grade B wooden door plus installation and finishing, plus grill, will probably cost you more than a security door.

Grade A is nyatoh? Pretty expensive.

Renovation updates:-

The entrance to my car porch needed to be completed,
I has 2 choice, concrete or asphalt. After consultation with my contractor, decided to go for tarmac - more durable. 

Tarmac / Asphalt Driveway :-

A bed of gravel / medium sized rock


A layer of asphalt / tarmac


Flatenning/compressing the tarmac layer


Add tar oil.


The end result.

RM 700.00. Dunno expensive or cheap. Did not compare. How much is yours?

Incl. instalattion Approx RM400++. Change all doors lah.

Dunno. Just paint only, I guess. 

Nice timber grain, sayang if you cover with paint.
But colour of wood a bit mixed, need a darker tone of varnish so that the difference is not so obvious.
Cost more to varnish a door - RM100+.  But looks more classy.

nowadays material very expensive. chengai wood frame will cost $10 per ft, so that is $1000 for a door!

Staining makes door easier to crack in few years (saw this from my own door). Shellac better but not as nice looking. Correct if im wrong.

Better to use 4 hinges (2 at the top, 1 middle & 1 bottom). Get the better quality hinges from reliable manufacturer. (From my personal experience avoid those China made ones. It cost more than those that I used to replace them after less than 1 year of usage.)
Not only the thickness of the hinge; should also take into consideration the pin as well.

my house sink oso no trap bottle. waste goes straight to drain. trap bottle make stuck only. just don't throw your kfc bone in there or wash your hair
in the sink. another warranty is to invest in a good waste basket. don't use the included cheap waste basket.

Whether necessary to have trap bottle or not also depend where it goes through.
If go outside direct than is OK, if go through WC hole (the one inside the house), than you may have problem with the smell, as one of the function of trap bottle is block those smell out hence that the reason why have water inside there too

Initially my without the bottle too, than endup have to replaced with it...

that mainly if is WC, but for Kitchen sink output, I didn't see they will install....they only put the pipe above it else they will need to make a deep hole for the "U".

If no trap bottle... smell and roaches can can roam freely...
