It seems you ended up with the better contractor.
At least he complete the job, no overcharge and still respond when you call.

Unusual Power Blackout

Tried finding a thread to share this but can't find the appropriate topic.

Something I consider weird happened to my electricity supply, actually it happened my whole neighborhood yesterday.

1. There was a blackout, (neighbors confirmed that they also experienced the same blackout)
- but still have power from selected wall socket, 
e.g. fridge down, Thermo pot ok, rice cooker ok, sterilizer down 
- They are all from the same row of power socket I the kitchen.

2. Power was restored
- but only to the front portion of the house, back kitchen and room no power. 
e.g. Front living room got light, back no light 
(neighbor has similar experience but vice versa back got light, front got no light)

3. Called TNB, then no light or power totally. 

4. Saw them go to the TNB power hut near by, tinker for 30 min then full power restored everywhere. 

I've always thought when there was a power supply disruption, it would be total but in this case got partial one 

Oh, this mean that this situation only happens to those with 3phase, not single phase.
