going to try out AD900 and buy if no problem.

what DAC can make ad900 push more on the mid ?

note : as i've been hearing the ksc75 for more than 1000 hours, used for 1 and half years, I'm prefer more on mid emphasizing, or more forward,
a bit bright is preferably blush.gif

i havent gotten into DACs yet, as i find the x-fi titanium sufficient enough to push it. Even the shitty laptop (dell SXPS 13) on board IDT sound card aint too bad either (quite an understatement i guess, its pretty shitty lol, and f*** the x-fi software lulz), i would say maybe 70-80% of what my pc is doing.

then its further paired with the govibe peak and i find this amp really good to compensate the bass for the AD series, the gain boost also covers highs, mids and lows pretty well. i have also just recently auditioned the AT HA20 amp at jaben, havent tried with my own ad900 as i sent it in for warranty sweat.gif how with everything else i tried for it, in comparison with the govibe peak, i find this amp really really smooth, laid back and i think it does compliment majority of audio technica's headphones pretty well. that said, its not as laid back/smooth as the audio GD compass, that one is just too much for my taste sweat.gif

overall, its cheaper than the govibe peak too, and it looks HELLA sexy with the see through shaded acrylic panel, with blue LED to highlight the internal components of the amp. no option to tweak bass/gain boost on/off unlike the govibe peak though.

if you want amp pairing recommendations for the ad900, i would highly recommend either the HA20 (if ur onto smooth/laid back listening) or the govibe peak (for more engaging/forward listening, and good bass boost to compliment the lacking bass department of the AD series in general)

ps: i have the ksc75 too, and ive used it for so long, at least maybe 5years or so, its currently running naked without the foam as i never bother to replace it XD

anyways anyone have any recommendations/experience for these? else i guess ill just post on the recommendations thread instead?

hehe....seriously good in the budget price iem...even separation is not good for first time impression. anyway i memang use my CKM55 for 8 months already since they launch i got it from Jaben. After run-in for nearly a thousand hours everything is comes perfect and easy listening. i guess Zune player play a good role for this iem. good to be true this after the burn-in, everything is smooth and with a good separation between midd and low. before that the bass is very heavy and harsh and now the bass is not heavy anymore but is smooth with a controlled bass which i would says is not overed and high part seem hard for this iem. but then is consider best buck for me. Somemore i says before dynamic driver is always has improvement compare to armature driver or electrostatic. Dynamic Driver is FUN.

well to poison any potential buyers, one would assume that their demo headphones are all burned in nice and well. hell, you think logically, if many people keep testing their demo units, it would be automatically burned in right? rolleyes.gif

headfonia review (and mine lol shameless advertisement) aside, i also highly recommend the ad900. its just that sweat spot so long you got the budget to spend (i know, its not exactly cheap with our malaysian currency/buying power)

and yes, i am aiming for the ad2000, though by the time i buy it, they may release an update or replacement of the flagship already heh (which is what im hoping for! XD)

Yup indeed a good price. The lowest brand new in market is about RM1.8k. Last time went purchase is about RM2650. After one month later the price drop till RM1.8k only. So after tax item is almost 2K++ so I guess more less.
