How you know is not agents?

Well, the Merry Go Round thingy is a Maybank stuff, special deal for Maybank cardholders. It's just next to it.

Yes, where all the X'mas decos are.
Nope but just some booths, you don't know if they are genuine. Some are just agents and simply applied for you for the sake of their commission.

To me, yes. You can always ask though.
They setup the booth just next to the Merry Go Round which has Maybank logos everywhere.

Indeed have, applying a card in booth you get extra gifts, may have pretty girls to greet you.
But, you may end up to have another bank's credit card that will send you a letter stating you have 5 figures of outstanding balance after few years.
Want to test your luck, apply from booth. I don't want to test my luck, so I only go to branch.

As far as I know, setting up booths to promote credit cards are not allowed anymore.

why no allow? There are still a lot of these booth any where now

Tips when signing up for Credit Card at Shopping Malls
1. Read the application form properly before signing on the dotted line.
2. Blank-out the CVV code (front and back)
3. Cross-out the IC photocopy with  "For application of X bank X card only"
