currently, i own 2 android phone, samsung G5 and ideos X5, both comes with their own micro usb charger. samsung travel adapter - output : 5.0V == 0.7A huawei power adapter - output : 5.0V == 1.0A
anyone know whether i can just use either one of this charger to charge both of my phone? will it cause any problem like inadequate power charge/etc? thanks.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jun 12 2011, 10:32 PM) buy multicharger what do u mean by multicharger? both the charger that I hv is the same microusb type, having same voltage output but the only different is the Amp output.. thts why i wanna know whether it's possible just to use one instead of both to charger each of the phone.

QUOTE(Defloweralization @ Jun 13 2011, 12:00 PM) no worry. batt IC will know when to show you full charge. that means it's ok to use huawei power adapter - output : 5.0V == 1.0A to charge on the samsung phone?

Amperage is no issue especially when they are this near. Just use, no problem.

QUOTE(azmi77 @ Jun 12 2011, 09:06 PM) not advisable to share charger... will damage the battery life i guess... IMO, if the voltage is the same, it should be fine i guess. QUOTE(shadow111 @ Jun 13 2011, 11:32 PM) oic.. me nt very good in term of electrical stuff, better be safe then sorry... Indeed. Sometimes, it only take one flip of switch to damage your electrical item if they are not compatible. In your case, i think it is ok to proceed as the voltage is the same. I can charge a few Nokia phones with a few different Nokia chargers with different output "A".

thanks for everyone for the comment.. found this which is quite informative for me. http://android.stackexchange.com/questions...oltage-amperagei also saw some article mention that higher amp charger will charge the phone faster but would degrade the battery sooner.. is this true? Both charger are okay to use as long as the Output Voltage are the same. Not much ampere difference so it won't dmg ur phone.

It's ok. If output lower will cause problem then what about charging when you plug into computer USB port which is significantly lower than wall output.

i not EE, but some phone itself do have built-in Amp regulator. using 2A should not be issue.
if u worried it damage, the pick the lowest Amp as universal charger. but u will notice device take longer to charge full.

I think that is true for me. However, I think the main cause for the battery degradation caused by user is that they tend to use the phone to play game or chit-chatting when charging them. duh....

lower amp is fine unless your handphone able to adopt different of load and adjust the charging speed without burden the USB charger...
if the handphone are hunger for power and must use certain amp to operate the charging functionality... if may overload the USB charger, overheat and burnt... worst come to worst, the insufficient load may damage the handphone, but for current technology the handphone should able to adopt at least computer's USB port's power load...
example: i used a power adapter with 1amp only for a equipment, end up the power adapter overheat and burnt after 15 minutes usage... as i checked with adjustable PSU with same voltage, the equipment required 3-4amp at least... means the equipment sucking more power from power adapter and more burden...
