I also currently using solid rubber for front n rear mounting. Been using for about a year. It doesn't bother me at all. No extreme vibration. In fact it improves the handling at the same time too. Felt more solid as compared to oem mounting. Really good fr pickup as TS mentioned. Engine wont be losing its momentum when accelerating. Hence more torquey. Correct me if im wrg.

Tighten the screw (clockwise) = increase rpm
Loosen the screw (anti clock)= lower rpm

Can feel the difference? i thought of doing last time but ppl say not much difference...  hmm.gif
how much?

Ya can feel the difference. Especially for my bumpy ride. GAB spring all 4 round. laugh.gif
Things that I can notice obviously is when I drive in yellow line at road there. Can hear the sound of
we going over the lines, but can't feel the bumpyness. biggrin.gif
First time = RM5 per wheel. If just want to topup gas, maybe RM1 per wheel smthg like that.

ATF oil = gear box oil??

last time i change was January i think, that oso because got dmg somewhere at the bottom.

But for now, what should i look for in terms of the oil??
*
ATF = automatic transmission fluid. Yes for gearbox. BTW, your case the car jerks or RPM just went high before
engage to 2nd gear? If you kinda need to rev more to engage in 2nd, maybe your atf oil is at low level. I experienced
once before. Gear 1 starts to move, rev till 3-4k rpm then only 2nd gear will kick in. That time I duno somehow my gearbox
oil leak somewhere which causing the problem.

I never sniff before. Only managed to see the blackness of it. Haha. Now using Eneos semi 10-40. Still running in for about 100km+-. Engine less noisy. Maybe due to the oil still new (not burn yet). Will see can clock 7-8k mileage or not.

enough about the score ler.. doesn't matter also.. no prize for winner also. aiyakkk.
as long as we are happy riding our ride that should be enough for us.
plus, we are lucky to even own a car.
so just do whatever you want/like with your car because its YOURS.
no people will stop you.
have fun modding~ laugh.gif

Mayb the rubber still solid because its new. Wait for some time then the vibrate will reduce a bit. Based on my experience~

I know this question will sound REALLY stupid.

I realize that old proton saga and other old cars like datsun and all got some specific smell one. It's not air freshener. It's like... It's like antique car smell sad.gif Anyone know how to get that smell ar? because I gonna trade in the SUPER ANTIQUE car to get a new usable car. I feel super heavy hearted to leave that smell T___T
*
Haha. I know how you feel bro. Btw, maybe you can purchase ur next ride that comes together with fabric coated seat. Maybe those cushion can generate that antique smell after a while. Because leather has its own smell. Which I think will not bring the scent that you wanted. Just my 10 cents~

engine giving sound on accelerating...sounded like belt or moving parts friction....any light on these? quite obvious lately...

note:changed new timing belt last time

no sound when free rev...only happens when accelerate the car...sounded like stripping or something...something loose? rclxub.gif
*
I experienced this before. Happen often when I was using lighten crank pulley. Everytime going to accelerate got
screeching sound. In my case it was the crank pulley itself. Change back to stock, settle.
BTW maybe you can try ask mech to tighten your belting.

sure can. most simple thing to do to reduce the sound is tighten the belt. if that noise still came out, then need to troubleshoot other component.. just my 2 cents

Hello guys,

Im kind of confused about the process that I would have to go through ro renew my roadtax. Do i have to go to Puspakom all the time? or Can i just pay more and not have to go.

If so, what are the difference in the fees?

Thanks!  biggrin.gif

p/s I have a '89 saga.
