Yeah, but you spend more for a USB3.0 device and unable to unleach its power lol =_="

I'm currently satisfied with the transfer speed of USB3.0 smile.gif

of course if u spend this much on a device, might as well get a usb3.0-equipped board. Asus/Gigabyte/MSI have affordable boards (X58/P55/H55) with usb3.0 onboard.

marketing-related info uses 1000kb = 1MB, but in actual fact it's 1024kb = 1MB <-- which is why you always see slightly lower capacity.

it also depends on other factors: file systems, etc. etc.

info from Kingmax: http://www.kingmax.com/en_04_faq_content.asp?sn=3&q=10

info from Kingston [page 2]: http://www.kingston.com/products/pdf_files/FlashMemGuide.pdf

The problem here is that the drive has only 7,635,435,520 bytes. When it should have been around 8,000,000,000 bytes.
*
you wont be getting 8,000,000,000 bytes or higher once formatted.

different chipset controllers (with production tool) the variety of NAND flash gives you variation of sizes.

if you compare the same production batch from the same company (same chipset, same nand flash), then all is the same.

but if you compare kingston's and kingmax's pendrives, definitely it will be different <-- u dont know what chipset or nand flash they use.

@cybpsych, the corsair voyager GTR is actually available here. They dont have ready stock due to it being expensive. You can actually try and ask Cycom if they are still able to get it order for you icon_rolleyes.gif
*
yup, that's why it is not really available smile.gif not as easily obtainable unless i start pre-ordering or back-to-back order or importing it.

nonetheless, ext hdd are getting huge and cheaper. a good replacement.

my current 4GB Voyager GT is now faithfully servicing me as a quick "disk" smile.gif
