QUOTE(nwk @ Jan 29 2014, 09:20 AM) you cannot compare AC4 with Tomb Raider because AC4 is open world game. However, Tomb Raider: DE is still a good buy because the graphics is now 100 times better then PS3 & some say it's even better then PC version. I just got my game last night & I was totally blown away by the graphics. Every tiny detail can now be seen clearly on PS4 compared to the blurry graphics on PS3 & the game runs much smoother then before. So to answer your question, BUY IT NOW! |

Did another few hours of gameplay this morning. Here's some additional stuff. I might be wrong on some facts.
Sometimes, the camera goes into 'shaky cam' mode. This is done on purpose to add drama. There's an extra parkour move where she leaps over small barriers. Don't recall seeing that on PS3 but maybe I didn't trigger it back then. The touch pad is fun. Swipe up to light the torch, swipe down to extinguish it, Other basic feature are like map zoom. Once the lightning cracks, the flash is like whoa! Confirmed that loading is significantly faster. The cutscenes are still 30fps. So, it's odd to say that in-game graphics are better than cutscenes. |

Guys, having difficulty understanding how exactly to run.
I think it's L2 button but then it's aim. Now just walking by, really slow .. |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Jan 30 2014, 10:53 AM) Isn't L2 for drawing out the bow or pistol? I cannot recall running in game thou. Even holding L3 does not make Lara run That's the thing.somehow after L2 & aim, i let go, then can run. Not sure exactly, maybe i'm doing it wrong. Even in manual didn't mention which button for Run |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Jan 30 2014, 09:30 AM) Thing with Tomb Raider is they are trying to implement this survival skills logic to it and therefore a lot of times really have to rely on instincts, memory etc to locate a certain area.QUOTE(apache_utara @ Jan 30 2014, 10:44 AM) Guys, having difficulty understanding how exactly to run. I don't think there's a run button for this game, it is automatic based on the location you're at as for some areas, Lara will only walk.I think it's L2 button but then it's aim. Went to youtube for some walkthrough, most of them can run.I don't think there's a run button for this game, it is automatic based on the location you're at as for some areas, Lara will only walk. So i tried press L2, un-press, & at the same time L-stick (walking). 2 out of 3 times she ran afterwards To be honest, it's kind of weird that there's no dedicated button to run like in the PC version, u press SHIFT then directional buttons to run. |

Yes it feels weird but I guess this is how it is as the controls option menu does not indicate a run button also. Before this I've been playing AC4 so automatically I hold R2 when I want Lara to run. So i tried press L2, un-press, & at the same time L-stick (walking). 2 out of 3 times she ran afterwards To be honest, it's kind of weird that there's no dedicated button to run like in the PC version, u press SHIFT then directional buttons to run. |
