So far this is the best looking DVD/GPS head unit compared with the rest and is quite affordable as well. I'm looking at the non-GPS version, and the optional reverse camera unit.

Any thought? I'm just worried about the sound quality since I think the default HU is quite decent already.

Think twice before you changing to this HU, bro. If you are worry about the sound quality it produced, confirm not as good as our stock unit.
*
Oh thanks for the feedback, that's what I'm scared of as well. I doubt there's any aftermarket HU than can fit nicely with our City eh..

Bro, can you check ur PM too tongue.gif

This HU unit will render your AUX and USB below compartment useless. So i think better not to change this plus the audio quality is worst than our stock HU
*
Xin, I'm quite aware of the AUX and USB will no longer work (the HU have SD card and mini USB so that's fine) but if the sound quality is worst that our stock HU then I won't bother with it lah. Haha.

HI, i just got my car 2 weeks ago. I found out the car not as save fuel as i expected. Rm50 ron 95 only 260km. Average 9.4km/l city drive only. why so low? My previous car Kembara rm50 also can get 220km.
*
Congrats on your new car, give it some time for the engine to break in. After your first service you will gradually see the FC will improved.

*
I think I waited for a month already but they promise the car can come out before Raya, so most likely next week.

i just got my car 3 weeks ago. So far, 3rd time pump fuel.

1st tank from SA, RM70 = 340++km
2nd tank, RM70 = 360++km
3rd tank, RM62 = ??? (still monitoring)

BTW, i drive mostly city...maybe 80% city (most of the time is congested esp after working hr in KL city) and 20% (highway)

Hopefully, after first service will improve =)
*
I think that's not bad for city drive and yours is only 3 weeks old. You can probably get 450km++ after a few services with your driving condition.

Hopefully =)

So far the car is doing alright...but one thing i dislike is the car tyre...
i got the continental tyre...16".
However, it's very noise on the road...that i have to turn on the radio loud =(
Check the tyre pressure it's 35 at first (super noisy).
Reduce to 30 already. lesser abit noise but still bothering me =(
Will tell the service centre once I service 1k.
Hmm...
*
You can change to a better tyre (more expensive) or invest in some soundproofing to the car wheel arch to reduce the noise of the road/tyre.

Don't think SC will be able to do much about that.. haha. They probably say it's normal.

any recommendation? where to do it?
*
Try here http://www.facebook.com/pages/Autofoam/193456474019263

There's a special package to do soundproof the wheel arch. You can give Desmon a call for quote. He might suggest to autofoam your car but I don't think it's a good idea since that thing is permanent. Just regular soundproofing is enough I think.

I'm also not yet passed the 1st service, the 1st full tank just manage to go 350km and the yellow light has lighted up.

Due to I'm work on shift hour 2pm - 11pm i'm not gonna face any congested of traffic, the 2nd pump just cost me RM56 . I think the FC will slowly improve after the engine been smoother and operate well after the 1st service.

Just abit disappointed for the acceleration from 0-40km/h. it is quite slow lolx notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
*
Bro, I think if you install K&N drop in air filter, it will improve the pick up a little bit. Maybe you can try?

QUOTE(jenli_84 @ Aug 10 2012, 04:07 PM)
Mine is Spec E. That is why I'm asking how to change...hahhahaha.....just shift the gear to S and start add on the paddle shifters from 1 - 5??? sorry....nvr drive a manual car...only during driving license exam. Cause 2 years later only got a car...start auto d....from KENARI, SAGA to CITY =) so, wanna know how it works...cause i know manual change gear need to press clutch? if auto how? just straight press the pedal shiffer +++ and ----

sorry I'm totally noob on this.
*
If you put the car in S, you don't have to use paddle shift if you don't want to, it will upshift for you but at a higher RPM compare to normal D mode.. so you get a bit more power. But once you use the paddle shift, you'll have to upshift/downshift manually like a manual car. Except you don't have to press clutch la. Haha.

It's fool proof so say you're doing 100km/h and accidentally downshift to second gear, it won't engage the gear until the speed is safe to do so.

I haven't got my car yet but this is all from what I gather around the old Honda city forum. Hehe.

I have been wondering, what makes you all choose City and not other car Vios, Preve, Forte, Inspira, Jazz, Fiesta etc etc..?

I think the new City hard to get any discount, most you can get is probably tint voucher. I bought mine from Global Amity since it's nearer to my place. Hehe.

Too much Vios? Well that's a valid reason haha. But why not choose Forte, Preeve, Inspira, Fiesta, Selphy, Jazz.

Any specific reason you pick City?

Hoping to get my car today.. Huhuhu.. oo JPJ why you so slow.

Just wondering, how much value is the stock E spec tyre if I want to trade in and change to a different one? I've read a lot of people complaining the car not very stable at high speed so thinking of changing to a wider rubber.

Or wait till next tyre change?

Thanks mate!

QUOTE(calvin_gsc @ Aug 15 2012, 10:19 AM)
For me the E spec tyres are absolutely fine unless you're an aggressive driver. Handling through corners is not a stable as the tyres loses grip easily ( >70km/h). Common size to replace is 205/50/16.

I do suggest going for wider tyres but stay away from larger than 16" rims. I changed mine to 17" and regretted. You sacrifice ride comfort. But now I am back to stock E spec rims but with 195/55/R16 tyres.

If you're close to shah alam, try contacting Jeff at Shah Alam Tyres & Auto Accessories (012-299 7021) Very large tyre and rim shop in Section 15 shah alam. He can quote you a good price for trade in.
*
Yeah I never plan on going up to 17", the tyre price alone is enough to make me stay way. Haha. I'm not worried about handling through corners but driving at 140km/h @ highway. If the car is stable at that speed with the stock tyre then I'll just stick with the stock tyre for now.

Maybe I can drop by at Jeff when I visit my friend in Shah Alam after raya. Thanks for the contact.

EDIT : Actually any new City owner tried to go up to 140km/h yet with the stock tyre? Or all still at break-in period.. haha.

Guys, just want to know...what speed should i drive during break-in period? LOL...don't laugh at me biggrin.gif
*
Keep your RPM below 3k and you should be fine. Speed doesn't really matter I suppose.

BUT there is a different method to break in your car from what I heard. Basically it's the other way around, instead of slowly keeping the RPM below 3k, you basically need to rev it up to redline. Haha.

True or not I dare not say but you can read about it here http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

Regarding the boot alarm thing, I tried to do it myself but the cable is already unplugged.. so its either Honda already fixed this for the new FL or the guy that install Connex on my car did it for me.

I'll do a test to confirm later.

I tried driving up to 140km/h earlier, can feel the car sway a little bit especially if there's another car/truck drive passed mine. Maybe really need a wider rubber.. hmm

Hi, may I know what is the difference between 2 DIN Touchscreen GPS sold at Kah Motor and other local accessory shop?

I was quoted RM 3500 by Kah Motor. Is it worth it to install it?
Is it true by installing at local car accessory shop it will void my warranty?
*
Wow so expensive? Which brand are you installing? Is it similar to this? http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1694512&hl=

As long as there's no cutting wire your warranty should be fine I suppose. Might want to confirm with you SA first though.

I'm planning to do mine next week before the long journey to Kelantan.. hoho.. doesn't feel right if they didn't change the oil though since I thought usually there will be traces of metal pieces in the engine oil from during the first 1k mileage. We should be able to ask them to change oil right?

it's this side:

Hey I got the same problem, I think its due to the side mirror, it doesn't sit flush with the door frame. Mine got a gap about 3 - 4mm, maybe I can try and fill the gap with 3m tape. But it feel solid to me so I'm not so worried about that coming off.
