Hey guys, I just sent my NHC to fix the rear door rattling sound today at Tenaga Setia. Dropped my car at 7.30am before work and collected at 6.30pm after work. I noticed that my car has been traveled for 36KM. Is that normal for rattling sound checking? 36KM was unacceptable for me. What should I do?
*
did u question the sc on the 36km traveled?

I have been having this issue for the past 3 weeks, there is a whirring sound from the left side fo the car, front i assume ...

First suspected the tires ... but i think its the bearing ... after reading this (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080814160102AAiAO4E)

Anyone knows whats the warranty like for bearing on the wheels?

And whats the warranty period on the batt?

Anyone changed the bearing before?

My car is 1.5 years old ...

Just did my 40k(but mileage 39k+) service yesterday 700+ and forgot to tell the sa to not change my air filter as i wanted to change to k&n ... damn now am stuck for another 20k on it ...

In regards to the humming sound which i had, which i thought was bearing issue, they checked and said its a tire issue ...

Also complained bout cranking issue, am trying to get my batt changed before reaching 40k km ... but they checked said its ok and added an Earth grounding wire instead ... friend who went to the USJ sc was advised instead to change it ... he didnt even complained as he went for the 40k service ...

am gonna return in 2 weeks time and let them know my cranking issue still there so they might change my batt .. hahaha

u cranking issue is same as mine, tomorrow morning (err.. not so tomorrow la) will go to Weststar HSC as the part they claimed to solved the issue already arrived. i dunno what exactly the part is, but they mention something like a cable (maybe grounding cable) to be attached inside the starter module under the hood. so... we'll see what about to happen tomorrow morning...
*
i am planning to ge the batt changed ... its just a thick gauge wire only ...

QUOTE(1282009 @ Jun 29 2012, 01:52 AM)
The earth grounding wire will not solve the cranking twice issue when the engine is hot. It does solve one thing - the static shock each time you leave the car. Always got static shock previously but ever since the thicker cable is installed, no more static shock.
*
true ... i have not even opened the hood to see where is that new cable ... malas

VTEC kicks in whenever the engine feels necessary and it is not very noticeable because our car uses i-VTEC.  tongue.gif

This is how a VTEC sounds like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsK_0YBGhyY

Some people enjoy hearing the engine roaring sound while some people found that it is very annoying.

Is anyone here notice that, City's firewall noise insulation is quite bad compared with Insight's.
*
there is just no way we can get those old school vtec on ours ... nor any of the new ivtec engines ... especially when ours are sohc ...

thats why those b16a and b16b engines are still highly sought after with 1/2 cut price still soaring ...

You seem to have a warped braked disk. May need to get it skimmed. However, if the brake disc is too thin, you will need to get a new one
*
warped disc brake will cause the car to wobble when braking, not when driving above certain speed ... but thats a probable cause ... and our cars are no more than 5 years old hence the disc is still of sizeable thickness ... can just skim it ...

Guys, can our stock rim fit 195/55/16 or 205/55(50?)/16? I've seen certain cars using 205, but the tyre looks fat smile.gif
*
am on 195/50/16 ... doesnt really look fat all ...

so i would say 205/50/16 should be defintiely ok

actually, at first i already decide to get brake pedal lock...however, when i go to honda made payment for the car, the salesman told me there is an issue with the brake pedal lock cause it's connected to the diffusser...will cause lagging when wanna start the car/ will burn the diffusser that will void the warranty. which happen to the salesman manager car himself.
Besides, he said some brake pedal lock did not release totally but can start the car..actually cause the brake pad to thin out as the car being drag....

anyone face this issue....pls advise?

kidnly recommended brake pedal lock installation. I know it's everywhere...but i would like to lock for shop with experience in installing brake pedal lock.

Thanks.
*
kakakak dude ... i thin no one can brain this ... no understand at all wei ...

mine is fitted with locktech ... its been fine for approaching 2 years ...

only issue is ... if the lock f***s up ... u need to open it up with a chainsaw ... thats why its got a 5 years warranty ... is it 5 ... or 3 ...

My previous Swift 1.5 (A) can do on average 450km (40% city/60% highway) per tank (RM65).. I always thought City got better FC due to the i-Vtec engine.

Hoping to reach 550km - 600km per tank when I get my City.. Possible?
*
mine is city driving ... always get stuck in jam ... and i tekan quite crazy at times ...

possible if you dont tekan ... keep contant 2 - 3k rpm

Thanks for the feedback, good to know that. I can only get at best 500km per tank with my previous Swift but that I need to drive like an uncle, avoid traffic jams at all cost and keep speed below 100km/h.. haha.
*
i dont, hit 100 on normal roads, highways 140 ... and i get 400

Technically yes both is highway right? Haha.. just that there's too much traffic during the day so can count as regular city driving. I usually drove back home using LDP at 10pm. Very little traffic so can consider highway at night biggrin.gif

Have you tried driving along the Plus highway all the way to Ipoh or Penang? Should be able to reach at least 500km per tank I think.
*
when i drove to Penang, i can hit 300km on 1/2 tank ...

but then once reach the bridge ... gone case jam jam jam

but yeah i guess can hit 600 easy if travel highway 100%
