do any of you actually rotate your tyres every 5k km? My wheel alignment has been going off. Its steering slowly to the left when left alone. Did my last alignment last time and the problem still stayed. Might be going to the shop and try fix my alignment one more time. Will rotating the tyres front to back fix the problem? o.o
*
This could be due to
1. Camber problem
- check camber and get a nut if incorrect adi.

2. Front toe-in/out
- Normal alignment adjustment.

3. Back camber/toe
- Can't adjust by nut as our rear suspension is torsion beam.

Dun worry, alignment run away is normal one, especially BLM, easy to run away, my car realign not less than 8 times per 43k mileage now. sweat.gif

Mine rear suspension adjust camber and toe before, by insert metal sheet in between axle and drum brake housing to correct the angle.

more expensive one are usually more silent and more traction
try continental....not the cheapest CC5 of course...better ones
*
Silent or not is not judged by its price, but mainly by the tread design.

More expensive because the size is bigger and it is performance oriented. But performance tyre normally won't be silent because of its aggressive tread.

Continental CC5 sales point is 'silent' over all their own series, so i dun see any reason why CC5 is not a good choice, plus it is quite expensive for 14" tyre.

I've yet to try a proper top speed run but last week on my way back from KL my GPS recorded a max of 155 km/h. The car was stable all the way and at no point did it feel floaty. If not for the speed limit I could probably cruise all the way at about 140 km/h constant.

Fuel consumption wise, the best I've ever achieved so far is 7.6 L/ 100 km, 438 km on 33.41 L but that was done without leaving Penang island. On the KL trip last week going down was 8.2 L / 100 km, return trip 8.1 L / 100 km, all on Shell RON 95 (although I topped up 5 litres of Esso at Sg Buloh before leaving for home). I did a lot of hard revs and overtaking so I imagine if you stick to the speed limit you could easily do 7.5 or below.

By the way check out this crazy guy laugh.gif

Production operator totally based on fixed standard time.

Means to assembly one part, ex door need 10 minutes, they have to follow the establish standard time to finished in 10 minutes, else slow + same salary, who want to work for that?

My blm will jerk for a second when I speed up to 100km/h, is that normal??

when jerk, I heard slip sound, 'cit' once.
*
Dun worry, is due to compressor kickin.

No choice but leave with it, becos small engine with high performance aircon is like that one.

Just changed all my Silverstone M3 to Continental CC5 today. Tyre alone RM150/pcs, plus alignment, camber and balancing total Rm665. Stock size 175/70R13. (No money for new rim tongue.gif )

1st impression, silent on rough road, acceptable noise in extremely rough road. All around noise 50% lower than those damn M3. Little harder compare to M3, maybe the shop pump too much inside my new tyre. Tmr will check at fuel station.

Will keep evaluate on this tyres. My opinion, worth it price. thumbup.gif

everyone here also thought so....so dn't open it
for me...whenever i open it....the opposite traffic car always beam me high light...signal me as though i open high light
saga...low light + fog lamp = high light

Added on July 24, 2011, 11:36 am
it depends on how many gear u have actually
the CVT have 6 spd if not wrong...
saga in other hand only have 4 spd....which explains the high RPM and bad FC
vios have 5 spd...that explains their good FC
so any mod to increase the number of gear actually will improve everything
like a 5 spd GB would already be enough
*
You get the wrong idea why some car is low RPM @ highspeed.

If based on many gear = lower rpm, then manual 5 speed should lower RPM than auto.

This CVT is improve in terms of pickup compare to previous auto, because gear ratio is variable during pickup, so no need to repickup the rpm after change gear. Final gear rpm will depends on your engine power. 1.3L Campro is impossible to ride @ 2k @ 110km/h because engine power is not optimum, it will end up wasting fuel.

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jul 24 2011, 11:48 AM)
I think VIOS has good power delivery in low end torque compared to CAMPRO, not so much because of 5 gears. That is why city drive it'll definitely beat SAGA in FC for city drive. Having a 5 speed for SAGA will give a better FC in the highway probably, but do nuts for city drive...which can barely reach 4th gear before the next traffic light.

Number of gears or speed step(CVT) have no bearings for city drive FC. I bet some old P2 autos with 3 gears autobox like Kenari probably have better FC than a SAGA, due to smaller engine and lighter chassis.
*
Nope, I think this CVT saga will improve FC in city drive if compare to current auto, because rpm is maintained at optimum speed during pickup, hence improve engine efficiency and reduce power loss due to RMP drop after gear change.

Perodua is like Apple, create very few products with good looking and sell for premium price.

Proton is like Andriod, create tons of products with great value but always bugged with issues.
IFag -> Proton basher

DriodFag -> Perodua basher
