I've got a question, is it necessary to change the wifi channel from time to time? I lost my connection just now and I called unifi, the guy told me to switch channel and it worked. 

it is maybe because the iptv got dedicated line.... even ur internet down, tv and phone still can be functioning....maybe the can sell a tv package after this....

after got job, might upgrade to higher speed...huhuhuhu

Would there be any chance that Unifi can be upgraded to 100 Mbit/sec or even 1 GBit/sec in the future without laying new cable or infrastructure ? Mmm...wondering when will Malaysians (if ever) be able to experience 1 Gbit/sec ? 

dear unifi users.

i'm having problem to connect 2 computers (1 Wifi + 1 LAN) on the same router to Steam game servers (Counter-Strike: Source & Team Fortress 2).

it seems that only 1 computer is able to connect while the other will have timeout error.

i've check that the required port 27015 could not be reach based on http://www.canyouseeme.org/

btw, i can still download games as well as updating on Steam but unable to join any game servers when 1 of the other computer is in a game.

tried port forwarding and still no hope. I hope some1 will help me on this. much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. So that means the BTU and router needs to be at the same place? But  IPTV unit only needs to be connected to the the router?

So I can use iptv device on 2nd floor with a homeplug?

Bro rattan, is it true that unifi package must apply for new phone line and we have to terminate existing streamyx phone line? Otherwise have to pay monthly access fee for the old phone line if we decided to keep it while terminating streamyx only?

Just install unifi today. They gave a black router. Is that the DIR-615? I don't think so right?

Anyway, just wanna ask what should be the first things i should do to the settings.

It's actually a pain for alarm user. Have to update a lot of parties and setup the alarm again. Sigh I dunno how I can connect the new line to my existing alarm. Sobs.

last time i had problem with my unifi DIR 615 router and have shared my problem here. Now i dont have problem anymore and everything work superb. Previosly i got this:
1. ipad2 connection unstable. after a while it lost connection. had to wait for a while until connection restored or reset the wifi on ipad.
2. very low signal in my room (i stayed in apartment), connection pretty bad
3. my desktop just beside the router, using wireless G USB, got intermittent connection.

the members here advise to change to b/g, and also set using 20MHz only. have done it, but no significant improvement. finally this is what i did:

1. use back my old Buffalo GHR-G54S as AP, and set the DIR-615 as bridge. You'll need 'operator' password to configure the DIR-615 as bridge, not 'admin' (refer to rizanrp guides). The setting in Buffalo same as streamyx, just change PPPoE username/password.

Although the Buffalo is becoming obsolete in malaysia market, but it still performs great with DD-WRT. Now all my problems above are solved. The network is superb. Signal very stable. Never hang, never drop connection.

Asus RT-N56U will be my next replacement in the future.... 

my area already have the cable (yellow and black stripe) but the FDP is 200m away from my home. Can i install unifi?

Hi guys, i looked through the thread and saw that many users are also discussing about the problem of their smartphones connecting to the Wifi network but cant surf the net.

I am having the exact same problem, and was wondering if there was any solution already discussed? thx in advance all.

Ps; im also using the tmnet free wifi-router
