I also realize slowdown when streaming YouTube video. Previously 1080p videos loads without any buffering on my VIP20. Now it buffers quite abit.

so which one is easier and more user friendly?

the W8960N or WR841N ?
*
Both also more or less the same. However go for the W8960N. Its latest and don't need much config.

Woohoo, just got my Unifi and having fun setting up the router... until I found out this small little problem.

At home I got CCTV, I set static IP to my CCTV and the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Then set the CCTV in DMZ and port forward it. DDNS also set. Everything set!

Accessing my CCTV from outside the network (using DDNS url), no problem. However, when within the network (using DDNS url), tak boleh. Must use IP address to access the page.

To all networking sifu, is it becuz the RG-TMRND does not support loopback?
*
Doesnt support loopback.

RT-N13U-B1

Latest custom firmware RT-N13U.RB_7.28.2.3 is available:
http://klseet.com/index.php?option=com_con...id=74&Itemid=70
same like the above RT-N56U, with pre-built localised ISP (UniFi-Home & Business) selection, also include "Others" for user-definable vlan tagging !

Please take note with this latest firmware for both N13 & N56, the WAN setup screen has changed to :
http://klseet.com/index.php?option=com_con...id=77&Itemid=76
Please ensure you select the correct localised ISP (at the bottom), the STB (for Home-UniFi only) is connected through Port1.

I've also tested two 2.5" USB2 ext HDD (NTFS & ext3) with Download Master without problem:
N13 (need to download the custom Utility):
http://klseet.com/index.php?option=com_con...id=80&Itemid=73
N56 (current standard from ASUS official site will do):
http://klseet.com/index.php?option=com_con...id=85&Itemid=80

Enjoy !  laugh.gif

tm has already implemented the cap for unifi vip packages. a tm technician told me this. you may want to reconsider getting unifi.

No such thing. Pls don't simply say things when its not official. Anyone can say anything.

QUOTE(GameFr3ak @ Aug 9 2011, 03:48 PM)
Hey guys.. just got my unifi installed a few days back.. was damn awesome on the first day.. getting 500kbps torrent download on a single file..

then the speed degraded followed by some intermittent disconnections, which will be resumed after 1-2 mins

it may occur at a very frequent rate.. when it occurs, the LED of VOIP turns red, then everything got disconnected

called the CS, not much info other than not seeing any issue, connection established for XX  mins thats all

after some frequent hassling from me, finally they said they will arrange a technician to check things out..

I'm not sure but is this related to an overheated huawei BTU? LAN connection seems to be established so I can rule out router's fault
*
Could be the BTU, since the technician is coming over might as well wait and see wink.gif
