delay is for sure one when come to buy car...
my case also delay almost 2week from the promise date..
but why your car already sold to other buyer??
This one u can argue with your SA...
Cannot like that one..
Unless before you got other buyer which place booking earlier/loan apporived earlier
*
wat I meant was my own personal car was already sold off coz SA told me initially can get car in 5 weeks. So by week 4 I already sold off my car. That's why now no car to use.

anyone here planning to down size the rims from 18 to 17 inch and replace with the equivalent tyre size? this could improve on the pick up by reducing the weight from the original 18 inch rims... also 17 inch tyres are slightly cheaper compared to 18, if in future when u replace all 4 tyres...

Maybe ppl will be reluctant coz bigger rims will be nicer coz got more bling2..... But downsizing the rims might improve fc la... I think pick-up is unfelt coz the diameter different is too small... (1 inch)... Maybe if u downsize to 15 inch there will be different but then ppl will laugh.....

At first I oso think that 235 is too wide for this car, but the thinking that it's quite a tall car + big, downsizing to smallerr width might sacrifice the stability.... Safety first yo!! laugh.gif
*
something to consider between aesthetic and practicality lor. like u mention, difference not that great, but honestly, i think fc will be improved in the long run. can't really tell difference on the looks between 18" and 17" rims anyways.

actually dun need to compromise on width of tyre. the closest replacement to the stock tyre 235/55-18 is 235/60-17. this tyre size only affects 0.5% on the speed compared to the stock tyres. new tyres are thicker, so will feel less bumpy on potholes and humps. something to really consider...

KIA VS BMW VS LANDROVER. guess who won?  brows.gif

Watched this video before on YouTube. Yes sportage won overall. Almost downloaded all available videos on YouTube regarding sportage. Only way to comfort myself while waiting for my unit to arrive. SA said whole m'sia no AP. So all cars sitting at the port, while waiting to be released :-(

Which branch did you book yours?
I've only booked mine early this month and was told that the waiting period is 2 months.
But last few days my SA told me the cars already at Port Klang, waiting for AP...

Wondering whether he bluffed or not hmm.gif
*
I'm from northern region. Made my booking on august 1st. Coming to 2 months soon.
If your SA and my SA said the same thing about the cars stuck at port, then the info is probably some what true lor...

I c.. I booked mine in KL..
Previously when I made the booking, I asked him by any chance can get earlier before 2 mths...
He firmly said "NO"...

But last few days, he changed his tunes and aksing me to prepare for the downpayment....
But as long the AP is still not approved, nothing much he can do right to get the car come out from Port Klang faster?
*
I guess only a certain numbers of AP are approved each they apply for it. For all u know, your car could have been sitting there since June when they first launch, but because they are only given certain permits, the remaining cars are just sitting at the port... sunbathing...

booked it before raya...then was told that after raya will get it but after raya the SA told me that now cannot get n have to wait for 3-4mths....so as usual i made alot of noise and spoke to alot of ppl n manage to 'steal' one from the port n register it within 1 week
can I know what sort of noise u make to your SA? And how they manage to "steal" one unit out from the port? I'm also tired of waiting for my new car. Almost 2 months already. But at least SA manage to lend me a car to use since I already sold my old car...

all sorts of noise bro....because from what i understand if you launch a new model u need to be able to cope up with the demand...but of corz im not saying that u ask today must get today...plus SA needs to keep up to their words when confirming the deal...in my case i was told that i have to wait since i requested before raya...they say now going to raya so will be slow so SA promise me after raya within a week i will get...then after raya again SA told me 'now after raya so ppl still on leave so abit slow...' when i heard that from SA i made sure the branch manager get a piece of my mind...plus SA oso kena la... how they manage to get my unit out fast i am not sure but if i got it after making a scene there then im sure others also can do it....and dont forget to compensate all ur waiting time with the freebies that you can demand...unfortunately sportage dont have much accessories yet but wat the heck....

for ur case bro go there and speak to higher position ppl who can give u answers and not SA who are also in the dark...
*
but i'm already dealing direct with the managing director of the branch liao. so how??? sad.gif

The car is already at Port Klang, but the AP allocation is the issue.
That's what my SA has been telling me.... no matter how many times I call him enquiring about the car
So now just play the waiting game lor.....
*
Yup. That's what my dealer is also telling me. Its all about getting the AP now. If u back track a few pages earlier, there's one bro who took a shot of the cars sitting at the port, waiting for release. So now all u can do is sit patiently and wait...

Someone posted in KIA FB page that the delivery of his Sportage is delayed as his SA told him that Naza transferred some of the APs for KIA to their upcoming release of the new Peugeot and Ferrari...

Did any of your SA told the same thing?
My SA only mentioned no AP, but no reason was given.
*
my dealer told me the same thing, no AP issued to them. but didn't mention AP allocated for other cars. my dealer also says that there are 385 units of sportage stuck at port klang now. and they are paying a bomb for the storage over at the port... sad.gif unsure.gif

well hope all these can settle fast...don care the info from customer service or SA is true or not..as long is properly, safe and fast...
*
No point speculating too much, whether who's giving correct info or false info. There's only 2 choices, either u forfeit your booking and go for another car, or patiently wait for the sportage to arrive, be it 1 month or 2 months or 3 months. Anywhere else is the same, even other dealers. But lets just hope the wait is all worth it...

Took possession of my white baby today. Sweeeet... Odometer reads 66km. Dealer gave me free tinting. Not the branded names, but should be good enough to last at least for the next 3 - 5 years... good new year gift for me. Hahaha tongue.gif rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif icon_idea.gif thumbup.gif
