sad to hear the TT cancel as i have a lot of question to ask hahahaha

let me ask one now, usually when the fuel indicator lights on and i run for a few more KMs i can refuel for about 40 to 45 which about RM80 something and our fuel tank is rated at 55 liters if i am not wrong.

Something different happen yesterday, i drove near additional 10km before i refuel so when the pump jump at 42 liters i put it to a slow pump (at the first click which hold the pump) to top it up.

I was shock when the meter passed 55 and 56 and 57 and 58 and i start checking to see if there is any leakage at the bottom and it went 60 and i start to check if the rear seats flowing with fuel and it eventually it stop at 62 liters of fuel.

anyone experience this before?

Bro you mention about the blue screen side mirror, how do I get that?

QUOTE(leds @ Nov 15 2011, 01:27 AM)
no issue at all...
if got issue early early member already post here asking for help or suggestion...
when i get my car the only weakness which bother me is the sound insulation...
But that can be solve by money so not an issue also...
FC city driving is around 11-12L/100km but clarify with few members its around that so consider normal
Sound system is equally cheap although got 6speaker, but change to better one will solve the issue
18inch wheel is a bit heavy for our 2.0 engine so pickup will get a bit sluggish..other then than its adequate for city drive..
A lot blind spot especially on A pillar, side mirror and rear  windscreen... suggested change your side mirror to blue screen(wide range)
Sometime playing the shiftronic gear on hill-slop road and its very impress..only the downshift is a bit stiff maybe the gearkbox is still new, but upshift is very smooth
They said driving in manual mode will help on reduce FC too but im a bit lazy so seldom driving in manual
The oem Brake pad create a lot of dust and squeking sound maybe due to still very new...will change it after few more month
The oem kumho hankook tyre a bit noisy on highway suggested change to better brand like michelin or continental but depends on your budget too...
Suspension setup is quite stiff if going through bad condition road but its acceptable for me

Anything else u want to know??
Many thing can share to you but dont know what u wanted to know?? biggrin.gif

Added on November 20, 2011, 6:07 pmI have tried 200 and it is stable, cruising at 150 is easy with this car and it is just slightly above 3k rpm, if 110km/h is less then 2.5k rpm

QUOTE(BHQ91 @ Nov 18 2011, 04:26 PM)
hello proud sportage owners.
I find the design of this car simply amazing. looks way better than any other japs suv in its class. it almost looks a little like a tiguan and a q5. very continental looking.
anyway. i was wondering if it feels close to a continental suv?? how's the NVH? wind noise ?
also, the feel of the car when cruising on a highway at speeds around 150kmph. the rev at that speed?

Waited 3.5 hours but it just takes 20 minutes then my car already on the bay to drain oil, so not the problem of long Q or a lot of people, such a big service centre, I saw less then 2 people working on the cars, the rest walking around dunno doing what.

Even car wash took them 1 hour to do so WTF! sorry, mind my language, just couldn't believe they can be that slow. I spend 20 minutes sitting infront of the paying counter after being called, 20 minutes to make payment O.o WTF big time

I was having the same situation back then but there are few factor which help me conclude my selection to sportage.
1) I give up my previous Honda accord (current version) because it was big and bulky and difficult to maneuver in town area and especially traffic jam.
2) bigger car will be more diffuclt to park and find a parking space which the car next to it won't bang their door to your car.
3) do I need such a large space?
4) design and function
5) bigger car sure more stable and more comfortable and passenger sure will enjoy the ride too -but 85% of the time I will be driving alone or 2 person in the car and I found sportage is spacious and 5 adult can sit comfortably as well (try Toyota fortuner, its like pancake)
6) There are many times I travel 180km/h (ssshhh don't tell anyone) on the highway and I found the ride is stable and you won't feel worried so travelling high speed is pass as well.
7) well the price does make some different but I am still getting everything that the sorento has

Hope this help you a little

haha i like the point number 5...pancake
However didnt have change to reach 180km/hr yet...its that take sometime to go up to that speed??

i was scouting around for a SUV previously so did manage to compare some of the local range here, the first thing i look at is the if rear passenger seats as i always need to take my mom around and Sportage passed as a very comfy passenger seats.

it didn't take much afford to hit 180 and fuel consumption still ok but it won't be like my previous skyline which can just hit 180 in 2 blinks laugh.gif

Has been seeing many sportage on the road now and it is looking gorgeous. I was at Seoul last week and funny is that it doesn't has a lot of sportage or forte but flooded with Hyundai and sonata is just a normal sedan hahaha

After running 10k km I got a fuel consumption of 7.4L/100km but have to drive very slow and control pedal a lot hahaha

I don't really think it is the A/C problem if you understand how the A/C work. the a/c will auto off when it have reach the temperature you have set and will back on when the room temperature get warm again.

I usually set it at 22 or 21.5 which solve the problem and you won't get automatically off easily. you can try point the a/c vent upward if you are feeling cold.

QUOTE(smiley4u2c @ Aug 3 2012, 12:07 AM)
hello don,

its been 3 months now since i changed the expansion valve, but the problem seems to be returning as i can feel the A/C air very slowly becoming a bit warm at instant where the car is left idle for more than 5 minutes. most of the time, i set the temp to 23 C, and its cold. Nowadays, when the temp is set at 23 C and left to idle for a while, can feel the warm air very slowly coming back, though still bearable...

the other obvious problem i face is the loud screeching sound on the brakes during braking. not sure what caused it. will report this to the service center during my next service...
