i got error 3194 when i trying to upgrade the firmware from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1.....pls help....device is ipad2 wifi version

Yes you are right...

yes you are. much more easier.

There is something in the host file that is causing the error. Check your host file and remove any lines with gs.apple.com in it.

Fast restore it before apple not sign ios 5.0.1...

I tried the other computer then it worked,my desktop's iTunes got me stuck in that restore validation also.

Before this was trying to run the Windows Absinthe GUI for more than 3 times, it fails..

By following azraeil steps, I've restore again my iapd2 with iOS5.0.1 without restoring the backup (setup as new ipad).
Guess what? the Windows Absinthe GUI works like charm!

After 30 minutes of jailbreaking attempts, my iPad 2 finally joins the Cydia community =)

Excellent. Since the jailbreak utilizes the backup/restore exploit in iTunes, having a large backup will cause some complications (not to mentioned taking a long time which causes high blood pressure heh heh heh) so having a fresh iPad 2 is ideal.

You can always restore your backup once the jailbreak is successful

Anyone got link to download iOS5.0.1 update via web? Download from iTunes seem slow....
