QUOTE(dikara10 @ Aug 19 2011, 11:18 PM)
Hi guys,

I am now planning to get another racket. Currently using head crossbow 6. Most of you said that I need to demo the racket first to make sure that I am happy with the racket. My problem is I don't know either the racket is good for me even I have demo with it. I just don't know how to evaluate the racket. Any suggestion?
*
i agree with inv on this one. don't change if there's nothing really wrong with it. unless you gatal wanna buy new racquet, get one that is almost similar to the crossbow 6. go to TW and check the racquet specs to compare.

cheers and good luck

He diablos were experimental? I clearly remember a few players hitting with t before.. or was it just my drooling illusion? hehehe

must discuss us open predictions!

Djoker to take it. i think he is smart to retire... might not be the most graceful thing to do bt there is a bigger tourney coming up. he has played (and won 5 already) of continuous masters series... dun strain like how nadal grinda during clay court season trying to grind through all the masters series available...

Sure will get fatigue and injury

Hahaha.. true la.. cause djoker always had history of 'strategic retirement' but this is definitely not good for the well paying fans la. it'll be damn frustrating... however, on a player's point of view, it is the best thing to do for himself.

Selfish. very

Maybe ATP should come up with a rule like if a player retires, the point say he's suppose to get 500 in the final will be reduced to the points he would get in the semis because he didn't complete the match.

I mean come on la, sore shoulder???
What a joke man, for a man with that kind of fitness level a sore shoulder can kau tim him??
Hahahahah......
*
hahaha... yeah... can whack serves at 120++ mph but got sore shoulder. tongue.gif

QUOTE(k3vin82 @ Aug 22 2011, 10:55 AM)
it doesnt feel comfortable for my single backhand because when i hit a little off centre the racket doesnt feel stable and i dont like that feeling. due to the width of the racket , i feel my normal racket like ps 95 and prestige MP, i wont get the same feeling.. its a more solid feel.. also cos my backhand is still very weak..
*
aiseh... probably it's the balance of the racquet. PS's are very headlight. The diablo is pretty balanced in head weight...

QUOTE(ckseong80 @ Aug 22 2011, 11:46 AM)
I think Kev got that feel because the ball was struck higher or lower than the centre.
While the bigger rounder head shape benefits a doublehander because they have firmer hold on the racquet for slighly off centre shots, a single hander might feel the unstability.

I think single Bhanders would like those with longer head shaped like the Dunlops, PS. The Wilsons 95 also isn't very round. I'd say in the middle of round and long. Combine both.
*
maybe... I've seen a couple of good single backhanders playing with big headsizes... like the head intelligence series and even the prince O3's which are quite big if not oversized. Good backhanders by the way.

QUOTE(ckseong80 @ Aug 22 2011, 12:21 PM)
Oooo ya Kev, forgot to mention oso this racquet is 27.25" in length.
Another possible reason for the instability you feel from backhand.
*
oooh... long racquets eh? could never get used to the longer racquets... feels like I'm swinging a sledgehammer!

Zeefalco,
It'll come up to 20 usd per racket for shipping+ tax .

Darkangel,
There's no luxilon reel. Only packs. I bought the adrenaline rough.

Added on August 26, 2011, 8:54 amThat's what I thought about Wilson qc. Even the pj for wilsons can be not aligned. But for these prostaffs , they are pretty good

QUOTE(praetorian @ Aug 26 2011, 09:02 AM)
Whats the Luxilon thing in the plastic bag (large) kay poh.....I also thought reel! Free shirt?!!

Wilson Pro Staff 85 QC is good as they are using same mold as before....my guess could be original mold from the late 80's or early 90's.....unlike OMG....K-factor series.....I have to bring a digital scale and my DIY balance board.....get the closest specs as possible...

Kev: Pls give review of Adrenaline Rough when you get your racket strung with this string....kekeekekke....
*
Yeah man.... the qc for the k factors were horrible. Had to recalibrate them by myself.
QUOTE(k3vin82 @ Aug 26 2011, 09:13 AM)
yup, its a luxilon shirt free .. with purchase of 3 string packs ..

I've registered for CTO VI .. faster go and register ... the main site link is wrong.. below is correct

Vobs
I know how the ratings work. I just don't see how to rate oneself. Being rated by someone else or by an association is better.

Kev
Aihhhh... hopefully la... feel like getting worse le..

Really hate it now that I'm not there to join the CTO. based on their Facebook page and photos, looks really fun and friendly. Really wish to join it

Ya darkangel, next time if the timing is rite , u should join.. its fun and the organization is top notch.. very well organized ..

NTRP is used alot in sg to gauge the playing level.. but i know its very subjective .. so thats why some ppl will overrate themself and some underrate themself.. smile.gif .. i always feel its better to underrate than overrate.. haha..
*
Trust me, if I were around there you will surely see my face. Too bad I'm way over here in Borneo.

Even under rating probably not so good too... cause the tournament wants to group them accordingly right?

Should always try to be as honest as possible in ntrp rating. Ya it wouldn't be fair .

Darkangel, Do they have alot of tourneys over there ?
*
Sabah does host quite a number of tournaments even at Borneo levels. But i'm still new here so I'm still inexperienced in most of them.

QUOTE(ckseong80 @ Aug 28 2011, 02:51 PM)

Seems like no longer Wozniaki.

Djoker is on fire and Serena Williams is baking cakes with hot shots man.... my early predictions for the win. Hahahaa... still a long way to go but I like making early predictions just to see how much further these pros will go so fluently and consistently for two whole weeks.
