OK, we will start The Championships today at SW19. It is never be so competitive as the top 4 are all gear up to start to challenge the title....

Nadal: Defending champ, world and seed 1. In good form as he went to 6 finals this year having win the Monte Carlo and RG... the four finals lost to winning mad djoker...

Djokovic: 41 unbeaten run this year, reigning OZ Champs, 6 titles this year and counting.... Beat d beast 4 times in a row which no one ever done....

Federer: He is playing at 'HOME'.... His form is yo-yo with ups and down... but that was his form last couple year... maybe due to age and others improve all along... but he ended Djoker's streak and played really good in RG....

Murray: Won the Queen... Can he continue the form and be the first British to win the 'Pineapple' in 150 Thousand Years?!

Ok.... too much craps who knows Berdy, Sordeling, Roddick can make surprise??!!

And dont forget Isner-Mahut rematch... hope they can play on center court.........

Me hoping to see Nadal-Fed final.
Semis, Fed take down Djoker.
Then Final Nadal blows Federer away.

Uh very hard to say wait till its quarter finals and semi finals then can make a better accurate prediction.....I want Nadal to win, each step he comes closer to Federer's 16 GS majors its already a huge impact on the sport.Federer's 16 majors looks very far.....Nadal has to win Wimbledon and this years US Open to have real shot to overhaul Federer's GS haul......the way/style Rafa is using is extremely taxing on the body......I don't think he can do major damage to Fed's GS after age 26.......he has to do it now and next year......maybe he can win Roland Garros again after 2012.....but I dunno.....

I dunno what French Open you were watching....effortless!!?! Nadal himself says this years French Open has been the hardest one to win......if they had used back Dunlop balls, then maybe it could of been effortless, with Babolat balls.....arrrrggggghh....Federer played really well, just unlucky not to stick with his winning formula......grass is a total different story....if Novak goes deep he has a shot, infact they ALL have a realistic shot, the outsider for me is Murray, I just don't know how bad his injury is......he may lose early....

Man Prae, if you're saying Babolat balls made it harder for Nadal to win RG, I think Babolat will change their balls next year to suit their golden son!

Surely they won't want to see the RG title goes to a Wilson or Head sponsored rival.

Thats EXACTLY what I am saying, there were alot of complains from the players...about this ball, feel free to goggle it....the only person I didn't see complaining is Nadal, why?????? It simple he is sponsored by Babolat, you don't bite the hand that feeds you....during the clay court season the balls that were being used was from Dunlop, leading up to the French Open, then at the French Open they introduced these new balls from Babolat, btw Babolat will be the official ball from 2011-2015.....if Nadal doesnt play well with the ball, he can kiss that trophy goodbye!

I feel that TMF is actually playing very well seeing that he is not in his prime anymore.

... but can he win Wimbledon?

Bjorn Borg posted in TENNIS.com saying that he picks TMF but I feel that what he said before this was more important... he said that the only people who can win wimbledon are the top four players now.

I agree to that. In fact, if I were to rank them based on who I think would win to who would least likely win, it'll be 1-Nadal, 2-Djokovic, 3-TMF, 4-Murray.

No matter how we feel Nadal is NOT at home compared to Federer in Centre Court, he has shown by far that on his worst days - like how he went down 2-5 in the first set in RG, he can still manage to grind back to win it 7-5. I mean, this is no joke to be able to pummel down TMF in the grandest stage of clay-tennis. In fact, the last time he faced off with TMF in the finals, he has shown the quality of tennis (his net game has drastically improved) suitable to that of today's slower grass in Centre Court.

My Predictions: Fed-Nadal final, Nadal in 4 sets if he wins the first set. Nadal in 5 if Federer wins the first set.

If Federer were to win, he MUST win the first 2 sets. I don't see him digging enough motivation in him to battle a 5 setter or coming back from 2 sets down to win an epic 5.

Unfortunately.... cause I would love to see him win another Wimby

it'll be another close fight with the top 3 fighting it out.. dont think murray is ready yet.. but who knows.. maybe he can break his duck.. i just hope djokovic can break the nadal-fed dominance.

i think he did.... for the first 5 months, he did. in fact... i think he will. he's only lost one match thus far. no boo hoos from him for sure.

just that on wimbledon's centre court, TMF and nadal just can't be excluded from the picture

Nadal has already lost the No:1 ranking....to win Wimbledon and the US Open.....AGAIN......very very hard, nigh impossible....if he does it.....my hats off to him.....I think he is in the lead by a mere 65 points......lol....

kev

i think the media has been quite unfair to the joker. i mean, his streak has been quite record breaking... it was like the moment he lost to federer, his hype just disappeared. immediately peoplewere reverting back to the TMF & Nadal bickering... i mean... like this WHOLE half-year he lost only 1 match man... that's like superb for any legend or player alive. but now, here anything about him? nope... still talks about "does fed still have what it takes to win wimby" or "will nadal take both rg and wimby again?".. where's the novak article?

you make an excellent point. in fact, nadal always sorta phases out a bit at the end of the year... that's been an ongoing trend of his... but i would find it hard pressed to rule him out of any tournament these days. unless he claims his knees are bothering him again

Dark_angel,

it might go to his advantage since less media attention .. i believe he has alot of pressure on his shoulders in rg to keep winning.. smile.gif ..

true. in fact, once they started pulling out streak records... i cannot imagine the amount of pressure he had to break all those records.
