What the fuuuuck.

I'll be there with two other friends from Feb 12 to 20. Wish I could stay around longer but I doubt work would allow ;w;

Will be attending a this nerdy card game even on the weekends at Kobe ( http://www.wizards.com/Magic/TCG/Events.as...andprix/welcome )

What's your budget like, have your trip all planned out, and have you applied for visa yet? I got my return tickets for RM600+, you?
*
what the faggotry r u doin goin all the way to Kobe for MTG? (屮゜Д゜)屮 щ(゚Д゚щ)

so i guess we will arrive on the same AAX flight that very day eh? I got my promo tix for ~rm600. I havent add the foodz n luggage yet. still packing.
My itinerary isnt complete yet, but i guess i may end up w/ 7-day JR pass as going from Kyoto to Hiroshima/Miyajima needs shinkansen as the distance is so great. Thus i need to make a trip to tokyo/nagoya to make the pass worthwhile.
my plan for everything all in is within rm6k for 15days. let see how it goes.
Money exchange is at 100jpy = 4.01 sweat.gif i hope it will go 3.9 by next weekend when i want to change.

@RegentCid:
Lets hope the weather is good. i have bought some heavyduty zipbag to wrap my dslr for cold/humid temp preparation lol laugh.gif

What are YOU going there for, tho? Just makan angin? :3c

Do you plan to buy loads of stuff on your way back? I had 4k ready for our 7 days stay tongue.gif

Where are you going to buy your JR Pass?
*
Im going there mainly for relax, jalan2 n photography.
No intention for shopping other than tidbits souvenirs. Maybe buy some lens if theres good bargain.

You can buy the pass from J-Horizons, n exchange the reciept w/ reall Pass at KIX

^if you are not travelling far n use the shinkansen, skip the JR-Pass and buy the ICOCA card instead(touch n go over there) n load monies in it.
It would be cheaper to use ICOCA and *day all-in-1 passes in each respective cities

It depends on what you wanna see/visit and whats ur plan.
Heck Kyoto to Tokyo is just 3hrs 1 way shinkansen trip, Thus you can actually take the shinkansen at 7+am, arrive in tokyo/shinagawa by 10+am,go visit meidokissa for some weeaboo experience points, n depart by 8pm to arrive in Kyoto before midnight. for Best result, have a night or two in tokyo so u can visit Nakano-broadway,Ikebukuro,TokyoBigSight to name a few

Is there any inn nearby Osaka that is a bit like "Hanasaku Iroha" type of Inn or there are only hotels and backpackers type? Is this type of inn only found at outside of the city?
*
if u want hose kind of ryokans, sadly to say you wont get those in generic city such as osaka.
not sure if u can try shiga, hakone, but best bet u need to go so far on the alps for those(hit springs villages) or west japan, as even suburbs of big cities wont give you that

hi e-jump, your photo are all very nice (from your flickr page) and sharp, especially the night shot. what lense did you use and you use tripod on every night shot?
*
Thanks
The wideangle shots are using sigma 28F1.8 n all night shots 28mm are done with tripod n remote shutter release.
The ones with 85mm are using 85F1.4 zeiss.
Its troublesome to switch around prime lenses n miss some moments :|

Kyoto shots arent that nice as the weather was continuously bad sad.gif
Lets see how fast i can select pics of other following prefectures n upload tongue.gif

Guys, which city is best for Hanami ah? I google, no answers, every site seems to say everywhere also good hmm.gif
*
as long its not by the side of the road, you should be fine anywhere.
protip would be parks and riverbanks.
the more popular place u go, the more crowded w/ humans will it be

Dat panorama shot. TEACH ME YOUR SECRETS!

Guess I'll need to buy a wide view lens for my PEN-1 or something. All my photos look like a TV screen from the early 90's :<

>btw, r u the folks who play faggotry tcg at the departure hall at lcct? tongue.gif
That's most prolly the KL guys. We Melaka guys don't easily show our power levels in public like that ( 'u')b
*
Its MAGIC~

basically all u need are multiple shots, and stitch it using utility like Hugin(google it).
Nifty tool that helps create panoramas wink.gif
