Guys, on the passes available in OSAKA, i will like to enquire about the activation part. cant find much info online for this.

once i purchase the pass, will the timer starts off from then or after i have made the first entry then the timer will start then?

i'm going to kyoto on the 24th... hopefully spring will come early

07/05/2012- (What day pass should i buy?) Check-out Shin Osaka hotel, travel to kyoto
08/05/2012- (What day pass should i buy?) Kyoto
09/05/2012- (What day pass should i buy?) Kyoto & Nara
10/05/2012- (What transport should i use?) Check-out Kyoto hotel, travel to kobe
11/05/2012- (Should i buy day pass?) Kobe and night time travel to kansai airport
11/05/2012- 11.15pm(12.15pm Japan Time)    Back to Malaysia

so cheap...coz i tot is expensive coz i saw from official JR website it cost USD342 for 7 day trip..
That mean i should buy 4 day 6000Yen + 2 day 4000 Yen lo correct?

but is a waste for the first day when i arrive at kansai , it already night so what for i purchase JR pass i buy normal JR's rapid trains (kaisoku) towards Tennoji Station.
Am i right?

ic. noted. i arrive at noon. so it is ok.
btw, my question is: can i buy earlier at the airport and use it few days later? why i am asking is because i wanan know whether the activation starts once i purchase the pass from counter or the activation starts once i made my first entry?

btw just note kansai thru pass does not cover buses in kyoto ya.

and from what i understand travelling in kyoto mostly in bus (?)

so if you take express train you will stop at namba and change ur train at Midosoji line to Shin Osaka Station right? Mine will stop at Tengachaya.. i think no problem..maybe we can continue at PM how we can meet..
