Submitted income tax early March and just received their cheque this week. Very efficient compared to last year where I received the cheque around June/July.

QUOTE(m a v 3 r i c k @ Mar 25 2012, 02:11 PM) Hi all, Need an urgent advice, my home printer is spoilt now. After submitting the e-BE form, is there any way we can print the form later or maybe save the form into the PC first? If yes, how can I do it? Many thanks in advance!! I have PDF copies of all the e-BE forms and confirmation after I submit it. How come yours don't have? I don't print my e-BEs, just keep them in the computer. Waste paper

QUOTE(wongmunkeong @ Mar 25 2012, 06:53 PM) Take it from an IT guy - dont trust computers TOO much eg. File corruption or media kaput, future application changes does not support old file format, lost media (thumbdrive/HDD/DVD), etc. I myself keep 1 hard copy + 1 softcopy + backup in HDD, thumb & emailed to my own GMail & Yahoo 7 years wor, dont play play Yup that's true. But I only print the acknowledgement and file it together with the receipts. Btw, you can check back your e-BE and reprint/save it after you've submitted here. https://spsd.hasil.gov.my/PKI/SemakanPengesahan.html

QUOTE(Angel On Fire @ Apr 3 2012, 12:41 AM) Dear all, I'm in the totally unpleasant process of preparing my taxes and need help 1. Do I need to submit my dividend voucher together with BE Form and Working Sheet HK3? 2. In section C2 (Dividends) of BE Form, I need to put in the gross dividend (not net), correct? 3. In Working Sheet HK3: (i) Do I need to fill up Section B if the tax rate on the dividend voucher is 25%? Or leave it blank? (ii) "Section C (ii) Interest on loan" refers to interest on share margin financing? Please advice Why not use e-Filling? They calculate and fill it up everything for you automatically, you just need to key in the details of your dividends.

QUOTE(yeapsc73 @ Apr 26 2012, 12:29 PM) if a property is under joint name, me and wife, the rental income has to be split evenly or can all put under one person, i.e. my wife since she has lower % ? By right should be split evenly. If they check, they might question why put all the income under your wife and not split evenly.

QUOTE(simplesmile @ Mar 31 2013, 11:40 PM) Yes, if there's an expert reading this please help enlighten us. By the way, I've been deducting all the maintenance fees charged by the management company. Also, even though the air-cond is a fixture and not structural, I've been deducting the repairs for air-cond as well. Hope I'm not breaking the law or anything. I'm no expert but I've been deducting insurance, quit rent, assessment, repair and maintenance expenses for my property.

How long did it take for LHDN to register for e-Filing and give you the PIN number if you register via email? I manage to get thru their customer service line but the guy told me to email him and gave me his direct email. Have emailed him but still yet to get a reply after 2 days.
I'm in a rush cause will be going overseas soon. So anyone knows will it be faster if I drop by LHDN office or try and call them up again? I remember last time when I call, they'll do the registration and give me the PIN number straight away.

QUOTE(CKJMark @ Apr 10 2013, 12:25 PM) This is a very busy month for IRB. Maybe 3-5 working days. If really cannot wait then you have to go yourself to IRB. Do you have to pay your taxes before you go overseas? The purpose of e-filing is so you can file and pay online regardless of where you are. Alright, thanks. So if I go to IRB personally, can get it on the spot? It's for a very fussy elder relative. So wanna settle it before I go overseas, or else troublesome.

QUOTE(CKJMark @ Apr 10 2013, 02:24 PM) If you already have a specific person's contact it is best to contact that person again. It will be faster that way because that person knows your case and can attend to you faster specifically. Thanks for the advice. I've emailed him again late afternoon yesterday and have gotten the PIN number this morning. QUOTE(Dagashi @ Apr 11 2013, 10:02 AM) Actually a tax officer informed that swimsuit can claim. That's weird, cause in their online guide book, it states like that: "Sports equipment includes equipment with short lifespan e.g. golf balls and shuttlecocks but excluding sports attire, e.g. swimsuits and sports shoes."

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Apr 13 2013, 12:08 AM) What if never use before? My aunty almost retire di, don't want to use e filing QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Apr 13 2013, 02:05 PM) This year she didn't get the form though, normally sent by mail. Trying to find where to dld but it keep directing me to efiling This year they never send the form for my aunty too. She also always use manual form to fill up and didn't want to let me do eFilling for her. This year she let me do eFilling so done for her already. You can try to go over to LHDN and ask for the form. You can also find the BE form for 2012 here: http://www.hasil.gov.my/pdf/pdfborang/Borang_BE_2012_1.pdfVery much different from last year.
