but anyway, tb lesbian gay whatever i'm ok with it as long as their attitude is good to be fren.

funniest thing was i'm single, and thinking bout forever alone, and all of my tb frens are attached with a gf. everytime they got any outings i will b invited and surely will ask me do i mind as if i dont have partner with me. lolx...and ofcoz, i dont mind anyway as long as im happy with myself, this situation....seriously caught alot attention when walking with them on the street.

Hadn't came in here for quite some time and was surprised to see this topic's title. I think I shall comment here. tongue.gif

Well, I'm a tomboy too. And yes, I'm also a lesbian. Actually I'm not really that tomboy-ish, I just wear whatever I like and feel comfortable in. Anyhow, dresses, skirts and heels are still big no-no's for me since young.

QUOTE(ToshWJ @ Jun 2 2011, 03:57 PM)
However, being a tomboy has put me at some awkward spot ( maybe because it's Malaysia - not countries like Taiwan where tomboys are already considered a 'norm' * i suppose* )

In particular, I get 'looked' at. I don't know if they are staring out of admiration / curiosity / or plain 'confused'
Don't get me started on talking about times where I have to go pee pee in public wash rooms.  rclxub.gif

Exactly the same situation I'm facing. High 5. It makes me feel awkward all the time. rclxub.gif

I don't get angry easily but for once I got mad when this happened. When I was entering the cinema, this fat Malay guy who was the ticket collector stared at me in a funny way, laughed and asked, "Are you a guy or a girl?". I was quite pissed off when I heard that, but I just pretended that I didn't hear what he said and walked away. I was like, "Can't you see my breasts? Although they're small but still visible okay." Somehow I feel humiliated and I don't know why.

Edited:
Oh, and I'm scared of looking at kids in public. Especially those with their parents. When they stare at me with question marks around their head, I'm always worried that they will ask their parents the question "Is this person a 'jie jie' or 'gor gor'?" and their parents don't know how to answer them. In this case, normally I'll quickly walk away to avoid an awkward situation. rclxub.gif

How do you all react when you see tomboys? What do you look in us? What is particularly going on in your mind?  hmm.gif

When I see tomboys, I usually sense the 'eh-kawan-are-you-one-of-us?' in their stare. Haha. Or maybe it's just me being too perasan. tongue.gif

For girls who are attracted to girls, would you prefer being together with tomboys?
I know tomboys are usually much more attracted to long-hair fem , and likewise... or the other way round.  brows.gif

I've never been attracted to any tomboy so far. (:

I would just guess whether a person is a girl or guy, and if the tomboy is "handsome" I would go "AHHH I WISH SHE'S NOT A TOMBOY". But honestly, there's nothing wrong to be a tomboy so yea, there wouldn't be anything particular going on in my mind I would say. smile.gif

I'm personally bi and i'm dating one (: However, I think tomboys are alright but butch are pretty much turn-off and.. I wouldn't have any glance for them. Most probably the only reaction i gave them is.. 'oh' and look away. sweat.gif I'm not bias but I personally think that most butch wear follow-by trend especially because they are obsessed with K-pop trend lol.. ( which only happens to age 20+ below i think). However, each respective individual have it's own special features (: I believe that either LGBT or straight, we are all attractive right? rclxms.gif

I accept a person who is a les/Bi or tomboys. But I do not agree with the act of liking the same sex people.

I don't discriminate tomboys, but I tend to stare a little longer to ensure that they are girls. Some boys look like girls nowadays tongue.gif

Nothing much actually. We're all humans.

For girls who are attracted to girls, would you prefer being together with tomboys?

I'm personally attracted to girls but I don't prefer being with tomboys. However, I feel that there's nothing wrong with being a tomboy. It's your body and life, so do what you want with it. You only live once anyway.

Particularly if you are straight male/female, how do you find or will react noticing tomboys?
- Just like the trend of guys looking/acting more like girls now, some girls nowadays also look/act like boys... Sometimes it's confusing, but it's fun trying to guess if the particular person passing by is actually a guy/ a girl... I do stared longer at those TB with not-really-good fashion sense, can't blame, it's just my nature.. if it's a TB which dress up well, no problem. I have TB friends, and to be honest, I find talking and socialising with them more fun than the normal girls, more open, less conflicts (since they're not that small gas, and like to create drama). In fact, i find some of them much better "friend" kinda friend than normal girls.. Also no need to feel paiseh in front them, no need "kek" feminine/girlie/gentle. But there are also some TB which annoy me - like to touch me unnecessarily, or get near to me (assuming I like girls just because some of them like girls too). I mean can't just assume that just because we're all girls also no need jaga distance... cus I'm straight ma... sweat.gif

I have TB friends as well, and they're lesb, but ok for me, just like any other kind of friends i have, no issues. smile.gif

When i see other TBs, sometimes it cross my mind to wonder if they are straight/lesb, but i think majority of the TBs (short hair kind) are lesb, from my experience, cuz usually they're more boyish as well.

ngapa nak kesian about ? rclxub.gif
as for me, perhaps I grew up from a 'harsh' family background .. and therefore learnt to be independent comes what may..
i don't think gender plays a great deal to determining who cared more/ cared less.. if it's a healthy relationship, both party no matter what the gender will get the equal share of care from one another whistling.gif

Children ar... maybe I tak really suka children la.. love to play with them when they are cute .. but as most of the time, have to endure their 'noisy' part, i can't tahan de .. whistling.gif

How do you all react when you see tomboys? What do you look in us? What is particularly going on in your mind?

Last time when I see a tomboy, I'll have no reaction. They are just people being who they want to be smile.gif
But when I see a really handsome one I'll go "whoa" inside my heart, as in amazed with their looks, nothing more.

And then I didn't know cute tomboy exist until I know one. I thought all tomboy very manly and cool.
When I first knew her like a year ago, got no reaction cuz from appearance, look like a cool tomboy smile.gif
But when I get to know her more~ omg! "wanna hang out after this?" brows.gif
But we are just friends^^ *cough* because i like her sis more *cough*

If I see a tomboy in toilet, especially those really look like guys, the only thing that runs in my mind is I hope there is no little kids.
They might mistakenly say "why got guys in girls toilet wan?"
Because when I was 12 I had this really short hair, wearing jeans and shirt and when I entered the toilet, there's this little girl asking that out loud T_T
But her mum corrected her quickly saying "this is jie jie lai de"
I gave her a smile and enter the toilet.. so paiseh

For girls who are attracted to girls, would you prefer being together with tomboys?
Last time maybe not, but after knowing the world more and more, why not? biggrin.gif

I'm a lesbian and I can answer this question for you. hmm.gif No one can predict what's coming on future. Children = family. Everyone sure wants a happy family. For now, science is so advance and having a child by test tube it can be done. Being with someone you love have no boundaries. What I'm trying to say is... when you love someone, you just love them and to have a family and child things can be done in different way. A family with husband, wife and child doesn't really give you 100% security and guarantee that family would work things out smooth sail. This might sound naive and yes, our country society might not be able to accept all these yet. But, which relationship doesn't start from being naive? If it doesn't, it never was love. It was just a calculation of in relationship for better future. That's what I think. rclxms.gif

P/s: This was never meant to offend anyone. It's a POV.

This post is interesting to me. I'm not straight, so I can't answer this question for you. Let me share my opinions though. Since I am a lesbian myself and more to being a tomboy, added with the fact that I don't have much homo friends, whenever I see an *authentic* tomboy I'll feel like "yeah-i-spot-my-distant-buddy"

what do i mean by authentic? my definition simply applies to tbs who are not showy & flashy with their clothing, with that smug look smack on their face. it's like they're just being tbs because it's trendy.
I'm just a casual t-shirt and jeans person, short, simple hair, nothing too fancy. and i try not to define myself with only the word "tomboy".

For girls who are attracted to girls, would you prefer being together with tomboys?

not necessarily all the time. The few lesbians, long-haired femme I know actually prefer femme.
but then I do know that tbs can 'convert' straight girls tongue.gif real personal experience.

in the end, regardless of whether you're a butch or femme, guy or girl, it just all boils down to one thing: feelings.

@ ToshWJ, jezz12, Duckyy: if you don't mind, I'm interested to know you peeps better. smile.gif I'm lacking friends in the "same-buddy" department, so if you guys are up for it, do PM me.
