I'm definitely not subscribing to VPNs established by locals at least not going to support their opportunistic effort.

Get a renowned one which is owned by a large foreign corporation.

mind sharing some good VPNs ?

You know what i feel?

Heres a thought
Its like having a car. And then the gov decided to block all the roads.
Cause they said that the road may lead you to somewhere thats illegal.

Let the filehosting sites handle the copyright issues theirselves. Dumb****S!!!
*
It's like having a road with illegal racing and rempit activities on it but it gives good access to strategic areas in the city for everyone's convenience to cut travelling distance.

Would you cut off the road and disregard the convenience that others are enjoying?

Then you have opportunists who have inside authority who takes advantage of it by setting up toll booths at both ends of the road to start charging toll rates if you want to continue enjoying the shortcut route.

My MU speed still relatively not affected on streamyx. Still getting 180-250 KB/s.

Surprised that Rapidshare and Mediafire escaped from the list.

The letter addresses all ISP. This means sooner or later tm, maxis etc will all follow suit. I think the temporary blockage by TM previously was a test to see how users will react to it. Our PM really lied about supposed "internet freedom" exercised in Malaysia. The only solution is to bring them down in the next PRU. Who's with me??

did PR mention anything about internet in their manifesto?
did they say that they will let us p2p all day non stop?
did they say they will offer us faster internet speeds at a very low price?

since you brought politics up, please answer my questions.
i dont really follow politics. so its an honest question..

Before I answer ur questions, take a look on what's happening since last year..

1. Petrol price went up from 1.80 to 1.90 (Government say they won't increase the price for the time being because they are earning much other sources below)
2. RM50 annual tax imposed for every credit card (different from annual fee charged by bank)
3. 6% tax on for paid television service (astro)
4. BISP allowance for teachers abolished.
5. Water and electricity price rate increase.

Can u see the trend here? This "caring" government is trying to milk us dry slowly. All these increases and taxes are directly affecting us, the people, right now and we are feeling the heat. I don't know if PR is going to supply us with better internet, but we need to feel a CHANGE. Let the government change or we change the government. Choose wisely..

Hi chyan tongue.gif

BTW p1 wimax already blocked all stated sites. Can't enter the sites at all (straight away error).

But changing DNS works.

thank god the public DNS works. for now i'm downloading mostly from megaupload and mediafire. rapidshare for night-shift download, since got waiting time. not much from fileserve and filesonic since annoyed from captcha. yeah, gov should just let the file hosting deal with the copyright. no need to block those sites la. not everyone here downloading illegal stuff only. just because you know the only illegal stuff is movies which is mostly 700mb++ size, you block? save bandwidth for what? facebook?

please, don't ever ever ever block w-bb sad.gif

Just few days after the UN announced that internet access is the new Human Rights, the government decided to block some websites off Malaysian's access. The irony.
