hey bro, may i know when u power on you phone, first boot screen is ideox and the second boot screen is android with flash light?

just found the simply way to remove the app, download official firmware and do not put the UPDATE_CUST, and the demo game will not install by default.
*
oh. u mean the official rom from here? http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/Huawei_Firmware_U8800

what other things is missing if we don't run the update_cust?

File Type: zip  SuperOneClickv1.7-ShortFuse.zip (1.58 MB, 206980 views)
File Type: zip  SuperOneClickv1.9.5-ShortFuse.zip (1.59 MB, 2051 views)
File Type: rar  SuperOneClickv1.9.5-ShortFuse.Drivers.rar (8.00 MB, 3873 views)

which one should i download?
the SD card must take out for rooting?
*
u sure our phone can be rooted using this?

normally, it's advised to take out the sd card in case somethin goes wrong during the rooting and it won't accidentally wipe out yr sd content.

the simple way to root is just place a recovery.img to u phone when u in bootload..

it will root n install clockworkmod at once.. this will not flash ur rom..

for partition space, clockworkmod must be install as well..
*
actually.. what is this recovery.img n clockworkmod? still cant get the hang for this... blush.gif

ClockWorkMod enable u to install zip files eg custom roms after u reboot to recovery mode, to play save, just backup the original recovery.img before u replace it.  smile.gif
*
we do this to go into recovery mode?

Turn off your device, turn your device on while holding 'volume up' and 'volume down' the screen will turn purple

Bootloader mode via Vol + and Vol - with power button, thats the place u replace and backup the recover.img and boot.img.

ClockWork Recovery mode via Vol+ with power button enable u to access to zip or rom files in your Internal SD or External SD to install them.

thanks for the info..

Awwright! Current phone hacking, B160 ROM and 1.8 Ghz kernel, gingerbread theme, setcpu performance. Quadrant = 2300. Thats what am talking about. PiBench 510ms. Galaxy S2 take that! Ran lots of benchmarks, never hung even once. Though temperature did go up to 42 deg C. And under Quadrant Global rank check who's no.1 under Ideos X5. Malaysia!
*
wow.. dun u scared later the cpu goes KABOOM?

why be like that?
*
i think yr 4gb is not detected by the phone..
the 2gb u see now is the internal sd card one..

go under setting>sd card> n c whether the mount sd card option is there..
if yes, click mount n check again.

Shadow111 - I use 1.9.5-ShortFuze.zip.

Thank you. Finally transfer all my SMS/Contacts from my G5 to my brand new flashed B160 with new partition 1GB++  usable memory! Will be using for 1st time today. I notice when we click contact, there's no search bar? Have to press search only can find contacts we want. On my old Samsung G5 have search bar inside contact.
*
i also migrate from g5 to x5.. biggrin.gif
g5 has more customize on the ROM.. for now, x5 doesn't have option to key in proxy under the wifi option.. sad.gif

also cant
but when i restart phone
the total space for sd card show is 4gb again
but the app also disappear
*
i only face this problem last time when i install my app/games on my internal sd..
after that, i plug in my mem card and then everything is gone..
solve this again when I unplug the mem card..

maybe u can check whether yr app is installed in yr internal or external mem card..
