hey bro, may i know when u power on you phone, first boot screen is ideox and the second boot screen is android with flash light?

just found the simply way to remove the app, download official firmware and do not put the UPDATE_CUST, and the demo game will not install by default.

Finally have time to change partition, SuperReboot and install ClockworkMod to my Ideos X5, all goes well so far

can guide me about the way you root your x5?

the simple way to root is just place a recovery.img to u phone when u in bootload..

it will root n install clockworkmod at once.. this will not flash ur rom..

for partition space, clockworkmod must be install as well..

For those who love the phone with no application pre-install

ClockWorkMod enable u to install zip files eg custom roms after u reboot to recovery mode, to play save, just backup the original recovery.img before u replace it.

Bootloader mode via Vol + and Vol - with power button, thats the place u replace and backup the recover.img and boot.img.

ClockWork Recovery mode via Vol+ with power button enable u to access to zip or rom files in your Internal SD or External SD to install them.

Awwright! Current phone hacking, B160 ROM and 1.8 Ghz kernel, gingerbread theme, setcpu performance. Quadrant = 2300. Thats what am talking about. PiBench 510ms. Galaxy S2 take that! Ran lots of benchmarks, never hung even once. Though temperature did go up to 42 deg C. And under Quadrant Global rank check who's no.1 under Ideos X5. Malaysia!

If you want to use the B10. Dont need SD Card.
Just paste the update.zip inside your 2GB phone memory.

Guide for partition your X5[SIZE=7]

1) backup ur 2G internal sd storage, cause this will wipe it clear.

2) backup ur contact etc, this can be done by installing hi suit, u can download it from huawei face book.

3) install ClockWorkMod, the step are here, if u already have it ignore this step.

4) download partition.zip here

5) copy partition.zip to ur root of sd card, make sure ur sd card have ard 1g space. and no dload folder which contain official firmware

6) turn off ur phone and boot to recovery boot. (press only power and vol + button) if u have clockworkmod install, u will c the screen like this



7) in ur clockworkmod screen, pressing down (using vol - button) and select install zip from sdcard by pressing power button.

8) select choose zip from sdcard

9) select partition.zip and press the power button.

10) select Yes - install partition.zip

11) after install, go to advance menu, if u can c the advance me, press the back button on ur phone

12) select reboot recovery and press the power button. repeat step 7 until step 10 (yes, u have to install the same zip file twice.)

13) restart ur phone and done!

i've done rooting
it seems like everything is okay
but there is no superuser or what extra icon there
that means i faild to root?

How to back-up ur ori ROM?
I use SuperOneClick.apk to do root.
Is that not any diffrent with using recovery to root?

Not necessarily, mine done rooting using superboot but still failed to remove system apps. 

is that maybe we missed some steps?
the phone didn't broken but not rooted
i guess should be so

1st must install Hi Suite (can download from Huawei website)

1. Download superoneclick.exe.
2. Set your Android to USB Debugging mode. (Settings -> Application -> Development -> USB Debugging)
3. Connect your Android to PC. (Do not mount your SD card)
4. Run ssuperoneclick.exe. (Or right click run as administrator)
5. Click “Root”. (wait till all success.)
6. Done! (You will see “Superuser” in your application)

I use this way to root my X5, it success root my X5.

ShengHow - No need replace or delete anything. After U do all, just click Rooyt on ur computer, will pop-up 1 box for showing u root installing. Wait till it finish, then restart ur X5. Then sud have Superuser at ur X5.

Thank you. Finally transfer all my SMS/Contacts from my G5 to my brand new flashed B160 with new partition 1GB++  usable memory! Will be using for 1st time today. I notice when we click contact, there's no search bar? Have to press search only can find contacts we want. On my old Samsung G5 have search bar inside contact.
